After meeting with and verifying the Owner's programming (needs and budget) for the renovations, we will prepare Schematic Design drawings and solutions to be approved by the Owner. At this time, we will verify the funding source, to assure the proper agencies will receive for review the drawings and specifications, and all requirements are met.
Our firm was chosen to design and produce Construction Documents for a replacement of the Welcome Center at the Alabama/ Mississippi state line on I-10 E by the Alabama Department of Transporation.
The scope was to transform Alabama's image when entering the state through the surrounding grounds (landscaping, parking lots and picnic pavilions) that highlight the local architecture and to create an atomoshphere that make visitors excited to be in Alabama.The exterior contains a lighthouse element that extends into the interior of the building, letting visitors see up into the structure.
