These guys literally saved me! A few weeks ago I was dashing and in the middle of a pick up my car key broke and I couldn't start my car. I called around for locksmiths but they either were not available that day or they were charging more than $250. The guy who answered let me know that if I can get to their place they would charge me about $40 to replace the plastic thing with buttons of my key which is what broke. I couldn't start my car so I had to get someone to drop of pliers to start it and then I headed to The Key Crew. While I was already there I asked for a duplicate of the key. I paid

Drove down from Los Angeles to San Diego after making an appointment with them. An hour goes by and I'm still waiting. So, I call back and they claim there was a mix up with scheduling. After the tech gets there he was not informed what my request was and tried to charge me 275.00 for a job he couldn't guarantee nor could he tell me if this was going to fix the car.
Lastly, the cold thing was he wasn't coming to fix the car today. He was going to come another day and I wasn't going to be there nor did I feel comfortable paying for something and he wasn't present.

I went to this business to get an extra remote key for my car. It took Tim an hour to finish. I paid my $250. Then, I tried to get in my car, and the doors would not open with the remote. We had a heated, lengthy discussion as he repeatedly told me that the problem was with the car and not his "programming". I told him that it was awfully coincidental that the doors worked perfectly before he got his hands on it. He refused to relent or give me my money back. So, now, I have to pay another $300 for a new key (Im now going the safe way with the dealer) as well as a repair fee for the doors. Please

I accidentally locked myself out of one of our bedrooms in our old 1920 craftsman house — a very old and tricky lock. Omar from The Key Crew came to my house within just a couple of hours and expertly dealt with this ridiculous situation I got myself into. He was so kind and professional. I had missed placed my spare key to my 2006 Ford Focus ZX4 and it has the security chip in it so I was worried about if I ever should lose it I would be stuck. So I found them and they made me a spare in about 5 minutes for $60.00 and I expected about $300.00 .I'm sure if I went to the Dealer that would of been the case!

I came to get a key for my Mazda Miata that the dealership wanted $40 to cut.. when they told me my car was too old (1990) I was stuck with a blank key and a broken Homedepot example.

This is a great place for all you key needs...I bought a car that had only 1 key & the seller told me the fob just needed a battery...Not...So I got a key cut @ Home Depot...The guy told me it might have to be programmed??? It didn't work...Called Chula Vista Ford...$189.00 WHAT??? THE key was 10% of what I paid for it... If you need a reliable local locksmith, I cannot recommend The Key Crew enough. We woke up Sunday to find someone tried to steal our Ford F-150. We immediately called The Key Crew Locksmith and Nate was here in 15 minutes. While he was working on our lock he gave us a free jump to make sure our battery was fully charged.
