Not showing up...not calling. This seems to be an ongoing issue.
We got an estimate and scheduled a date for tree removal, had to rescheduled due to bad weather...and after a couple of months when it finally comes up for the work, they don't show up as agreed, they didn't call and when I finally get them on the phone, they take no responsibility. It was a frustrating process working with these folks, and in the end I terminated working with them.

Signed contact in March for some tree trimming. It is now mid September and work has not been done. Gave me a date after each time I contacted them but they were a no show each time without calling to let me know why they had not shown up. Had work done by them in past years and they were very good. Not sure what has happened with their service but it is now unacceptable. Have waited 7 months and they still have not shown up to do a job we signed a contract for.

Make sure they agree to whatever they put in their own estimate. Forester refused to do some of the work included in their estimate because they "forgot to remove the wording". The work that was actually completed was done well. But, for the cost I would not have gone with them if the estimate only included the work they were actually completing.

Forester Tree Service cancelled the scheduled date 3 times. They came 14 months later, cut down the trees, trimmed the bushes at a slant and above the gutters and left a huge mess of wood chips which we were charged $700.00 for clean up. I was told it was our responsibility to supervise the workers and tell them what needed to be done.

I requested an estimate for a tree trimming. My requirements were the tree be trimmed back enough to make my house visible. This required a trim of about 3' all the way around. When I spoke to the person over the phone he said 'OK, I'll send my guy up top.' The arrived unannounced a week early. Two guys showed up with a dilapidated lift that leaked hydraulic fluid on my driveway. They cut down a dozen branches 'that were rubbing' then left. Total time on the job about 45 minutes. This place answered the phone immediately when I called with an emergency tree threatening to fall on my house. They came and assessed it within the hour, then quoted the price and wrote the contract right away. Watching all of them work with the equipment was impressive, and the crew even did their best to avoid stepping on my spring flowers. The clean up was spectacular.

This was the only tree service that was open at 3pm on a Saturday. Somehow we had a tree three times the height of our two story house fall on our garage. Dylan answered the phone, took down my info and was here in less than 30 minutes. He had some questions about accessibility to do the job so he sent the foreman out to inspect. Joe, the foreman, arrived not too long after Dylan left. While Joe was here, the tree started creaking and shifting. Very high potential for the tree to fall on our house. Joe left and was back in little over an hour with the equipment and crew. They worked until 9pm when

I called for an estimate, and when I asked to verify that they do free estimates, the guy replied "well, insurance is going to pay for it." I explained the situation further, and why my insurance wouldn't be covering the situation, and he insisted insurance would pay for it as if I didn't know what I was talking about. I get the feeling that their prices are less than competitive when they think insurance is covering a job. Not the best way to do business.
