Here are some of our solutions that help bring your hardwood floors from Old To Gold. When we arrive to get started there's a list of things we do before sanding including, floor prep, house prep, shoe removal, carpet removal and any floor repair or patching needed.
A fast and amazing solution that 99% of people with hardwood floors don't know about. Finish has a life to it and daily walking, dirt, sunlight, water etc, is constantly breaking down the thickness and durability of the floor. It's so important to have this process done every 2-5 years (depending on usage) before your floor finish get's too thin and your wood starts being affected, damaged and turning gray and black.
We aggressively sand away and remove the old finish, scratches, gouges and imperfections in the wood. We are also level the floor by sanding deep enough into the wood to literally create a new wood layer. Now that the wood is sanded, the world is yours. You can stain the wood any color you'd like or go natural by applying a water or oil based sealer and finish directly on the floor.
Keep in mind we are super busy so try to give us 2 weeks notice when scheduling. If you are calling about a last minute or rushed project we will do our best to fit you in! 400-1000 should take 4-7 days depending on finish type, layout and stain. 1000+ should take 5 days and beyond. Remember, these are simple approximations based on square footage and do not take into account many variables.

Can't believe the difference between the initial consult with Old to Gold vs the other two vendors I brought in for a quote. Rowdy was professional but friendly, introduced aspects of the project I hadn't considerd, and educated me thoroughly. The quote was very detailed, and the price was inline with the other two vendors. Nate and Leo were the technicians who performed the work, and I say "technicians" not workers, because they attacked it with technical precision and care - true professionals. They communicated with me and updated me each step of the way. In the end, the floors look FANTASTIC

I'm in LOVE with my new refinished floors!! They went from the "orangey" honey oak to a gorgeous modern gray/brown (I went with the color "driftwood"). We recently had such a great experience working with Old To Gold. We have 20 year old American Cherry Hardwood floors in our kitchen, dining room and home entryway and half bath. The floors were getting quite marred and some deep scratches and lots of sun fading. We felt we were probably going to have to replace them and we loved the flooring. Spent 6k to refinish floors. first product (mega one) peeled up off the floor. They had to sand back to bare wood and do over and used Traffic HD. Still have applicator marks and imperfections where the product did not flow out well or self level. Now we have water marks in the kitchen area and were told by Bona directly this is not unusual as it's a water based product and not "waterproof." They really do try and are great people but the Bona product is terrible. The sanding was great, staining was great, but the inconvenience of having to do it over and over and still ending

Team Old to Gold did a great job refinishing our floors throughout the house. We had carpet through our diningroom and livingroom and very old linoleum in our kitchen. When our contractor discovered there was hardwood under the linoleum in the kitchen we called in Old to Gold to see if they could refinish them for us, the results were amazing! They did a great job throughout the house, our floors turned out beautifully.

We had a big refinishing project that came out great. Brian worked very hard and did extremely nice work throughout.
We did have some issues on the service side (unrelated to workmanship), but Rowdy was very attentive and responsive to our concerns and at the end of the day they made it right. We are happy with our floors and with the customer service we received.

My boyfriend and I got a couple quotes from different companies to refinish our hardwood floors before we moved into our new home. Old To Gold was responsive and quick with the quote and although their cost was higher than other companies we talked to, they could get our job done much quicker, which was great as we wanted to get the floors done before we moved everything in. Other companies were quoting us a month out or longer!

Hired these guys for an option on the flooring at a condo we recently purchased. They gave us a quote and said that the floors would be restored. They came in and after $4000 the smelliest were loose and several issues. They told us flooring wasn't actually hardwood but hardwood laminate. They said it was too thin after repairs. They told us nothing before they did it. Very disappointed..stay away

Took our money and ran. We had these guys come out to refish our wood floors. After the job was said and done...we started having issues with boards popping up, etc. T
hey were good about coming out to fix them initially however, they threatened if it continued to happen, they'd charge us. Well.....it's been 8 months and boards are popping up all over. We fell like we were scammed. These floors should have never been refinished, in hindsight, we should have taken the 4k and put it toward new floors! Shame on them for not telling us this to start.

Old to Gold is just finishing up our oak flooring today. The floors were in rough shape, I think the owner had finished them and really didn't have the right equipment or knowledge how to get a professional finish. Old To Gold sent out Mike with a crew of workers that made the worn floors come to life. It was a two month wait to get them out here and a four day process to finish, but well worth the wait, they are now something we can show with pride. The team worked well together and communication was done well throughout the entire process.

Unresponsive. They actually came out to measure for a flooring project and said they would have a quote for us by the end of the day. No quote ever came. We called, emailed, texted... More than a week went by with no acknowledgment of our many attempts to contact them. Eventually we threatened that if they did not contact us they would lose our business, which is exactly what happened. I understand if they are busy, but to not even respond to us for more than a week is unacceptable. If they can't even deliver a quote on time, how could I expect them to install the floor on time?

Their customer service was outstanding - Butler, Caleb, and Brandon were all quick to respond, knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. My 100 year old floors look amazing - refreshed and renewed! This review is not related to the quality of their work but to their customer service. I contacted them via phone and left a message on a Tuesday and again on a Wednesday (2 different voicemail boxes). I filled out their online form on Wednesday afternoon. In all 3 instances I had the understanding I would be contacted within 24 hours. Finally around 4 pm on Friday they called me - 96 hours from first contact and greater than 48 hours from the last time I reached out. By this time I had already found someone else who actually returns messages.

My wife and I bought a 70 year old farmhouse that had hardwood floors through half the house. They were worn, stained, yellowed, and needed refinishing. We also needed some new wood added in places.
The good:
The floors look amazing.
There was no dust whatsoever.
They were fast.
Fast and thorough customer service.

I had to contact them a few times about issues. However, every issue was resolved. We had two issues that I consider to be major. I was not happy with how they were handled at first.
1) The color of the highly visible new wood in the living room was extremely different

In the process of refinishing the 4 bedrooms of my newly-purchased rental property, Old to Gold and I decided the best floor covering would be LVP (luxury vinyl plank) rather than refinishing the soft pine floors. Rowdy, the estimator, and I agreed on a price and his professional team completed the project in two days and ahead of schedule! The new vinyl looks authentic and will be much more durable to tenant use.
