Sent a message to this place inquiring about a brand new Highlander. My vehicle was totalled in a car/deer accident so I had to move fast.
Gave them my phone and my email. Nothing. No response.
Thought I would try another way. I had my husband send a message with his name. Literally 3 minutes later, his phone rings and it is the sales staff wanting to talk about the Highlander.

This was the first dealership that when contacted, listened to what I was looking for and responded with ‘we can do that’ without hesitation. Carolyn Jones was a key part of this. She provided great customer service throughout the entire process of finding truck, researching lift kit, tires, rims etc.
I was kept informed of the status of the truck’s arrival, along with the installation of the lift kit etc.
Friendly, very knowledgeable. Service dept was great, especially Corey, who did all of the installations, and ensured that they were going according to what we had discussed.

Purchased a (lightly) used 2021 BMW X4 from Carolyn and the Hesser team. They were fabulous to work with. I purchased from out-of-state but they made the entire experience simple and straightforward. The worst Dealership service department I have experienced.My 84 year old mother took her 2012 Toyota Camry to Farm and Fleet in Janesville Wi her tires needed air so she had the car looked at ok they told her it needed a left front wheel bearing and new tires so she ask me to make an appointment so I drove up from Chicago Oct 30 and went to the Toyota dealership because it made a noise over ev bump so I suspectEd it needed struts also so I figured take it to the dealership because it's a car the sell and work on every day.So I take it there and tell the service man it's go a bad wheel

They had to put a new (used with more miles) motor in my car 5 days after purchase. They covered all costs. $10k. Got it back after 3 months and 3 dealerships later. Some additional repairs needed, admittedly caused by their technicians, that very much extended the repair time. Very poor communication the first 2 months. Got car back missing parts, warning light on dash, lights not plugged in, and missing fasteners everywhere causing damage to both front fender liners. Grease stains all over inside of car and my second key no longer works. Now I have to take a day off work to travel over an hour

I would absolutely recommend Hesser Toyota! I spent months being ignored, offered bad deals or no deals, or completely screwed over by numerous other dealerships. But working with Ed at Hesser Toyota was the experience I was looking for. He was quick to respond to questions and requests, was willing to make a deal and make sure I got the car I was looking for, kept me updated along the way while waiting for my car to be built, and they were able to have the car ready to take home within a few hours of it being delivered. We just had the best car buying experience in our lives! No pressure no haggling just straight forward honesty. Less than blue book very fair price. A very relaxing experience as car buying goes. What a horrible experience at this dealership. I called about a Honda Civic yesterday told Ed we would be up to see it tonight at 6:30. Ed called us at 4:40 to verify we were still coming and told me the car would be ready to test drive. We rush from South Beloit to get there and someone else is sitting at the desk making a deal on the car. The night guy that works the internet was horribly rude and acted like well to bad. He proceeds to tell me Ed gave him my information before he left at 5:00 but that he had this person scheduled to see the car at 5:00.

Hands down, one of the worst customer service/service department experiences I've ever had!. I took my car to the dealership to fix my A.C. While fixing my A.C,they accidentally broke my windshield as well! It took them almost a whole month to finish fixing my A.C and to install a new windshield as well!! When I received my car back, the interior was dirty, I barely had any gas in the car (gauge on E) and my shift boot wasn't intact!!
Very disappointing and I would give no stars if I could!

Avoid this dealership if you are looking for personalized service and courtesy. I contacted the company regarding a vehicle I found online. I don't live in the area and requested specific information regarding the vehicles interior and exterior appearance and mechanical performance. I explained that I would never be able to physically inspect this vehicle or test drive before buying; it would be sight unseen so it was very important for the sales staff to be as specific as possible with any issues. MY GOODNESS. What an amazing buying experience. I just bought a 2017 Toyota Camry LE. I admit, I did my homework and called around a dozen dealers like a MLB manager at the trade deadline. And no matter what, Mike Rivers was there to earn my business. While other dealers gave me the run around, Mike was too busy giving me the best deal! And he was 100% honest - no phantom charges at signing (although I got another stellar deal on an extended warranty that I wasn't planning on).

I called about a 2016 Toyota Tacoma listed for $28,599 and spoke to the sales representative Luke about driving an hour and a half to see the truck. Before making the trip I called the dealership to confirm that the truck was still available, which they assured me that it was. Upon arriving to the dealership I found out that the truck had been sold the day before. Avoid going to this place at all costs, if you can. I had my van fixed there. They first told me that my MAF sensor was the problem and told me my van was fixed. I didn't even get it off the lot, before returning it back, as it wasn't fixed. They then told me that it was the transmission and a used one with labor would cost $3,300. I called Morrison's Auto Salvage to find a used transmission. They informed me that they did have one and that Hesser was trying to buy it and upsell the transmission to make more of a profit.

Why I continue to give this place a chance, I have no idea. I called several times at 8:00 a.m. and the call goes straight to voice mail. No chance to transfer to the service area to get an appointment. I do not have unlimited time to make a call.
If Hesser is too damn cheap to hire a receptionist to start at 7:00 a.m. like all other dealerships, how about having the ability to automatically transfer the phone to the service desk to make an appointment. Like-"If you want service, press 1. Remember Hesser, it is 2015.

DO NOT GO THERE!!! The manager is untrustworty! We live a hour drive from there. My family wanted to buy a used van and found one on their website. We called before we came and confirmed the price with the manager. When we got there with two kids, After testing the van, we made the decision to buy it. The sales person was okay and told us they needed time to do the paperwork. After 1.5 hours, a manager came out and told us the price was not correct. These people are never available when you need them. Scheduled services (that cost lots of money)--sure, but not when it counts. They are very unsympathetic and uninterested when something urgent comes up. We've been regular customers for nearly 5 years, but no more. Let me add that we bought a 2007 RAV4 from them and just after its service plan ended the alternator died. It will cost us nearly 1K. Obviously that is an issue with "Toyota quality" rather than this particular dealership, but it still influences my overall opinion of them.
