A-1 locksmith are life savers, if you have any thing that has to do with keys, I encourage you to go to A-1, they respond to calls, and communicate too, there is a difference between copy cats and original. A-1 is the real deal, I'm satisfied. After calling too many so-called locksmith places, they don't pick their calls nor return calls, A-1 have made my day. You people get my business for life. I want to say thank you guys with much appreciation.

I called on Wednesday to get an estimate to rekey a lock. I was told $15 for the service trip and $$19.99 for the rekeying. He asked when I wanted an appointment. I said I would call on Friday to make appointment for Saturday. I called on Saturday to make appointment and confirm price. Again I was told $15+ $19.99.
The tech , Santiago showed up. He did the work and told me the charges were $120.00. When I complained he said $60 was the least he could do. He tried to say I didn't talk to their company for the price, but I did, they already had my phone number and address in the system and

No call, no show. Plus they lied. Said they were coming over during a certain time and when called as to why they didn't show, they denied it, made up a story, and created another window to show up later the same day. Again no call, no show. I live in Preston Hollow. I will never call these people again.

I have always depended on this location. Ken is AMAZING. He worked a miracle fixing the ignition on my Honda Element while keeping a steady stream of happy customers. An amazing job, well done! If I could give more than 5 stars , he'd get them. Just inspiring and excellent. I highly recommend this store because of consistantly exceptional service and work!

I was very impressed by A1 today. I called multiple locksmiths around Dallas and was told either "We don't work on motorcycles" or "We don't work on YOUR motorcycle". Since the bike in question is an older foreign model, finding a replacement ignition online proved impossible. Robert Laukaitis was easily able to make two duplicate keys based on the broken key we brought to him, and got my son's bike back on the road. We will be coming back to A1 when we need a locksmith!

My husband and I just left A-1 Locksmith on Walnut & Harry Hines and were so happy with James and his quick fix to our ignition that this review could NOT wait until I got home.
After spending all morning at the STEALERSHIP getting a key made that still didn't work on our 2010 my husband was so discouraged. I told my husband there has to be a place we can go that specializes in cylinders and ignitions. The storm was coming soon and it was late, so I stepped out of the fifth-wheel in the local camp ground to let the dog out before it got worse outside. Didn’t grab a coat or put a leash on the pup... just opened the door and stepped out. I briefly froze as he did what dogs do... and went to open the door. It was locked. The dog wasn’t on a leash. I was in a thin tee-shirt and the cold wind was picking up. I am SO glad I happened to bring my phone outside with me! I searched nearby locksmiths and found A1 - and they were great! Dustin was wonderful, and 5th wheel locks are tricky...

Wish I could give them 0 stars. I called this place and the person that they sent me told me the total would be $88 to open my car. I thought it was expensive but I really needed to open my car. Gave them my card info and he didn't have a physical receipt for me to sign. When I checked my bank account and saw the receipt, they've charged me $188. I called to complain and they said someone would give me a call back. Called the locksmith company directly and they said the same thing. SCAM!

The team that takes care of this location was training in customer service by Attila the Hun! (or some other horrendous character)
I believe that they think that breathing counts as good communication and fine manners, but sorry, it does not.
I stopped by to check if they could cut a key for my car, and by the time I left I was happy that they didn't threw the key on my face, not very friendly...I was surprise they did not wear war paint on their faces!
It surely seems like these people don't need or want your money.
So if you have a chance, DO NOT stop by, as a matter of fact, RUN FOREST

I've used these guys to rekey offices at work several times. Andrew and David Eubanks are nice guys. David is very knowledgeable when it comes to door access systems. He's been in the biz for a long time. I've gone to the actual store location a couple times to have copies made and they were always nice and it only took a few minutes.

Recently locked myself out of the house in the morning, goofed up and locked the door behind me while everyone else was at work. Called these guys because they installed our new locks around 2010 when we moved in and I saved their number in my phone. They were nice over the phone and still had us in their system. They said it'd be about an hour for the tech to arrive, but soon after he called and gave me a heads-up he'd be there in 30 minutes. The tech was courteous, in a company van and shirt, and verified my ID before opening the door. He popped it open in a few minutes, and it came

Wow! Glad I didn't read the reviews before calling. I had no issues but I also had a very easy situation. I called and received same day service for them to change the locks. They gave me a 5-7pm window but called me at 4 to see if they could come earlier. They did and the serviceman even waited for me to get there. No scams just paid him and he left.

First of all, why is it so hard to find a locksmith with a brick and mortar location. Everyone I called was a mobile shop that wanted a minimum of $50 just to come out. All I needed was a car key copied. It is one of those fancy laser keys so I couldn't just go to Home Depot with it. I was quoted $5 over the phone, but it turned out to be $40 for my kind of key. The guy apologized about the confusion and was very friendly.
The whole thing took about 5 minutes and he even helped me move my immobilizer chip from the old key to the new key. I used my own blank, so they didn't guarantee
