For over 50 years, Overhead Door of Columbia has been family owned and operated to serve the loyal customer base throughout Columbia and the surrounding areas. In 2010, the Davis family, having also worked in the industry for several decades, acquired Overhead Door of Columbia to sell, service, and install Overhead Garage Doors in the Midlands of South Carolina.
Just as Henry Ford's horseless carriage changed the way the world moved, a young man named C.G. Johnson invented the overhead garage door in 1921 and changed the course of the garage door's place in history. Johnson traveled across the United States with a small prototype of the door mounted on the back of his Model T, promoting his new innovation at county fairs and in countless small towns.

We had a great experience with Built Rite doors. I sent an online request after hours for service and received a call back from Erica to address the issue immediately. Our technician that came out was Jerome. He walked through all of our options. He repaired the door and offered suggestions to install an electronic opener. We called back and scheduled another appointment to have a opener installed by Jerome. Again, Jerome was prompt, courteous and ensured I was aware of all features of our new opener. We will definitely use Built Rite again!!

Customer service experience was one of the worst I've ever had. The gentleman who did the installation damaged personal property in garage and punctured the finished, insulated ceiling. When I called the business to discuss my concerns, the supervisor refused to take responsibility for the damages. Instead, he blamed me. I gave 2 stars because the quality of the product was and is excellent. If my rating was based on customer service alone it would definitely be 1 star. A business without solid ethics is not one I would recommend.

We had a major break down of the door frame supporting the assisting springs. The two Technician Mike & Cecil worked well together to assess and repair the supporting framework and get the door operating again safely. I was very pleased with how they worked together to accomplish the repair. I would highly recommend Overhead Door to do your door service work.
