We understand that finding the right cabinet maker can be a daunting task. Our goal is to simplify the process, help you define your needs, narrow your options, and manage the many details of your design project. With our design we are willing to work with your contractor, architect, budget, and most importantly, you, to create a design that fulfills your vision.
Barry Forbis Design designs and manufactures custom furniture and custom cabinetry. The design criteria varies from mid century, modern, to old world traditional. Our finish capabilities are extensive, from basic stain and lacquer, distress aged, conversion varnish and lacquer paint. The process begins with a client meeting, once the design criteria and other specifics have been discussed, the drawings begin.
This process involves client meetings as needed to finalize the design, so the construction phase can begin. Obviously, all jobs are different from large to small. It can vary from one piece of furniture, to an entire household full of cabinetry.

My plan showed that the head of the bed was to be left open, w/o drawers, b/c nightstands go there. So he left it open-- completely open-- w/o any support at that end, hence vulnerable to breaking right off. Which it did when the movers removed it from the truck. He charged me $200 to repair it, b/c I did not tell him that I wanted support at that end. (Not being in the biz, it never would've

I was referred to Barry by a contractor that I have worked with foe several years. I wanted to custom build a home bar Art Deco style. Barry is very skilled in creating a design from nothing. It was awesome to work with someone who can take your idea and bring it into reality. An expert in design and materials. If you need a custom cabinet hew is the person who can get it into a design and build it.
