Mike Johnson founded Johnson Landscape in 1998. We have established ourselves as one of the leading landscape companies in our area. Johnson Landscape is a full service landscaping company based in Kearney, Nebraska that provides landscaping, sprinkler systems and repairs, paver patios, outdoor kitchens, retaining walls, concrete edging, water features, lawn maintenance, mulch and more.
We provide services for both commercial and residential customers. Examples of our projects include: Hospitals, Schools, apartment complexes, as well as, new home construction and renovation projects. We service over 100 accounts on a weekly basis as part of our Lawn Maintenance division and we install numerous irrigation systems each year.
We are located at 3990 Coal Chute Road, where we also have our nursery. We provide plants to the public, as well as our own landscape projects. Our company employs 15-25 people for the season with 5-6 full time through the year. To enhance the beauty and value of every customer's property while exceeding expectations along the way.

With over 20 years in business, we will provide the right tools and equipment to succeed and the right pay to prosper. Our work week is Monday - Friday @ approx. 40 hours per week. If you have experience as a LEADER and enjoy working outside and your weekends off, then this might be the job for you.
When there is a problem with a customer's landscaping, the first place we look is the irrigation system. There is nothing more essential to the success of your landscape than regular access to the appropriate amount of water. Sprinkler irrigation systems are sophisticated technology that require special certification to install and operate.
Consultation: A professional landscape design from Johnson Landscape starts with a consultation with our experienced landscape designer. At the consultation the designer will listen to your wants and needs, evaluate the site, and take measurements and photos. Our estimates are free, however, in some situations a design agreement between both parties is put in place.

We found this beautiful limestone rock for our patio at Johnson Lawn & Landscape. It was nice to find something unique and more rustic than what we were finding elsewhere. We wanted something a little different. They were great to work with and the price was really reasonable. We’ll definitely buy through them again and I highly recommend them!

We started our landscaping re-do in the fall of 2018. Working with Kristen, we completed the design phase of the project, but do to weather and the fact we were going to be gone during October, we put off the project until summer of 2019. Work started in early July 2019, removing all previous landscaping and adding a nice two -tiered berm on the side of the yard. We chose a mixture of flowering plants sprinkled in with many shrubs. Johnson Landscape planted a berm of pines in our yard several years ago--they were gorgeous then and they are so gorgeous now that we hired them to plant more trees for us this past year. Great, quality work and plants! We have purchased trees from a big box shop and planted them ourselves only to have many of them die. The Johnson trees thrive!

We had a serious water drainage problem that Johnson has helped resolve. They were great to work with. Kristen designed a lovely dry creek bed and provided us many opportunities for revising the plan. She was constantly in touch with us regarding when the work would start, and she worked with us and with the crew during the construction process. Mike was available as well. We've had several 1-inch+ rains since the bed was put in, and it has handled the water very well. In addition, the dry creek bed is a very attractive addition to our backyard.
