We, like many; lost most of our landscaping to the great big freeze of 2020, and desperately needed major overhaul of our large 1.75 acre yard. I started calling landscape companies to get bidding, and an idea of what work needed to be done, etc. I then called Steve Maddox, of Maddox Landscaping as my final bid. He did our yard in Austin Park for many years 22 years ago and I LOVED HIS WORK! I always had the pretties yard in the neighborhood (or at least we were told that).

Called to set up appointment for a big remodeling job. They said they would call me back for an appointment. All they would do is call to ask for my measurements of my pool? Isn't that part of the estimate? They never came out and no one bothered to call? How are they running this business? I guess they don't want money. And they seem so mad, you can tell by the unprofessional response of them trying to justiy why they never came out. Thanks for editing your response. Sounded better even though not accurate. Very sad. And actually no one called me back all i got was a response for measurements

Maddox just completed our dream pool! From our designer (Brent), project manager (Joe), to Mr. Steve Maddox himself, the entire staff was amazing. They were respectful, hard working, on-time, and their attention to detail was second to none. They also completed our landscaping and lighting. Customer service has been responsive and helpful! I'm posting this for my wife's parents, my in-laws, suffering from dementia, that this company, clearly took advantage of. I produce radio shows dealing with the top nurseries in the Houston area so I know what it should cost to put in plants and fix a backflow preventer for a small 1800 Sq ft home with a postage size lawn. Maddox saw that the backflow preventer was in the process of being repaired, yet, instead of questioning it, Maddox just charged them 450.00 and another 150.00 to turn the sprinklers on "test" and walk around to see if they were working. To keep this short, she paid 4000.00

I have been an extremely satisfied customer of Maddox Landscaping for well over 25 years. During this time, they have consistently maintained our lawn, trimmed our shrubs/trees, and provided beautiful landscaping for us to enjoy in both the front and back yard. A few years ago, we had them update the decking around our pool, replaced the pump and heater. They did an amazing job. Maddox gave us our absolute favorite place to be in our backyard. They built a beautiful pergola and fire pit area very efficiently and quickly! Maddox also installed landscape lighting that all of our neighbors are asking who did them! We get constant compliments on our front and backyards thanks to Maddox!
