Whether It is a large Oak Tree towering over your home or a small Crape Myrtle you no longer like, we can take care of it for you. We exercise safety and caution when performing tree removal and you can rest assured that our professional staff will safely remove your tree. We use many techniques to cut down a tree and every tree is different.
Crowning a tree is a type of tree trimming involves cutting all the branches back to a selective point. This service is popular for certain types of trees. Bradford Pear Trees and Crape Myrtles are the most common. Crape Myrtle Trees are usually crowned for aesthetic reasons. Sometimes a tree just gets too big and impossible for homeowners to maintain so we can come in and reduce the overall size of the tree.
After we cut down a tree there is always a stump left over. We grind stumps with our Carlton 4400-4 self propelled stump grinder. We also trace any surface roots growing out into your yard. This way, there are no visible traits of the tree you wanted removed after our work is finished. It is important to remove your stump after the tree has been cut down.
The Whole 9 Tree Service is a great place to go for all of your firewood needs. We can deliver up to 3 and 1/2 cords to your home or you can pick up your own wood from our lot. All of our wood comes from native trees we collected from tree removal services the previous year. Southeast Virginia is home to many types of trees excellent for burning.
