AVOID AT ALL COST!
After months of house shopping we settled on a New Construction Home by Swanson... They kept giving us different dates for the closing because the home wasn’t finished. We had our walk through inspection and several things were not ready by the closing date. They promised to have everything done the week after. It took them WEEKS to get it corrected and only because I kept insisting... 4 months later my stone is not fixed and They keep giving me false information on when it’s going to be done. My best advice: DO NOT CLOSE until everything is done... or even better CHOSE

I worked for Swanson Developments for more than a year. They did everything they told me they would do. I worked very hard, but that's because I'm a disciplined worker. They showed their appreciation. They kept the commitments they asked me to make to others on their behalf too. I also leased a property from them also, and found them to be responsive when there was a need to be taken care of.

Swanson Development so far has been a great builder, from the foundation to the framing. We are still in the process of building, but so far, the workmanship they provide has been excellent. During our electrical walk thru, with Joe Swanson, he exceeded our expectations, as he gave us his utmost attention to detail and seemed to be family orientated and not driven like some builders. He took the time to listen to minor questions/items and at this point in time, I would recommend Swanson as a builder, and purchasing another home in the future.

We signed our portion of a new construction contract a month ago and after getting the run around, avoided calls from our agent to the Swanson rep, we went with another builder.. contract signed and accepted within 45 hours. This is how it should be. And the builder we choose is working while on vacation to assist us and we have free reign to speak with the builder at any time. I recommend to invest in a better user friendly website and employees who are knowledgeable and cares about the buyer.

Brandy Childress is correct. Moreover they tell you in the construction meeting that it's 150 dollars to make a change. We wanted Pella windows in our home. THEY ONLY USE HAYNES BROTHER'S LUMBER PERIOD but we were led to believe in the construction meeting that we could make changes but there would be a fee. They had poured the foundation for a floor plan that they were going to build anyway and they still kept our 1000 dollars of earnest money. Also Chris at Haynes Brother's Lumber had told me that the front door that we picked out was 1750. Swansons turned around and told me the door costs 2300
