JL Judson Construction was started in 2006 by owner Jonathan Judson. Jonathan has been in building and construction since the early 1990's, with experience in all phases of the industry. Jonathan began his career in the Coastal area, building homes in the early 1990's.
He then went on to work at the retail level with Home Depot and Robert Bowden, Inc. from 1996 - 2003, while working towards his degree in Construction Management at Southern Polytechnic State University.After moving back to Augusta in 2003, he went on to run the Sign Production Services for AAA Sign Company before finally deciding to get back into Building Custom Homes in 2006.
Jonathan's wife Lynn, who holds a degree in Business, handles all accounting activities for the company as well as assisting owners in design and allowance purchases for their project. Lynn and Jonathan Judson are custom home builders in the CSRA (Augusta, GA). They are listed as one of the few custom home builders for River Island Neighborhood in Evans, GA. Some builders build cookie cutter style homes, have quick turnaround times and use cheap products BUT, not JLJUDSON. Jonathan has been in the business since a young boy helping his dad and prides himself on building a quality home versus quantity. He could probably cut corners and save himself time and money but his integrity is stronger and he refuses to do that. During the building process we could walk through our home

Jonathan and Lynn were wonderful to work with! The home was already 95% complete when we put a contract in on it, and they still worked with us to get the customizations that we were wanting. Our buyer's buyer ended up delaying the purchasing process a significant amount of time, but their patience and understanding through the process really helped ease a lot of the stress. We LOVE our new home and are very glad we with with JL Judson Construction! Would definitely recommend.

The Judson's are capable of building a home, however if you are looking for a custom builder stay away from them. They are also listed as JL Judson. They misrepresented themselves as custom builders promising software programs to track our build, keeping us below their cost estimates. Our contract indicated a 6-8 month build, rather turned into 1 1/2 years with no explanation. Spec home quality products used on our home to include paint (which after a one year inspection the paint team indicated we had contractor grade flat paint vs what should have been matte paint).
