Brett Plano and Ryan Coudon founded Plano-Coudon in 1998. They recognized a need in the industry to bring the mindset of engineers, the sophistication of large contractors and the passion of true building enthusiasts to mid-range construction projects. Our company's initial setup was modest - just two desks, two computers and one pet dog in the basement of Brett's Federal Hill home.
Plano-Coudon recruits top talent from colleges with strong engineering programs. We develop our talent by investing in ongoing training, keeping us ahead of industry standards. We retain the best by maintaining a family friendly, work / life balance in addition to offering competitive benefits. It is our mission to deliver an exceptional Owner Experience to our Clients.
We foster healthy relationships between employees, leaders, managers, suppliers and business partners to encourage growth and mutual success. We recognize people are our most valuable resource and encourage an "ownership" culture where employees have an opportunity to help steer the ship. Our culture is built with an emphasis on work life balance and total employee well-being.
Our vigilance is constant. Superintendents conduct regular visual inspections and we often perform mock Maryland Occupational Safety and Health (MOSH) inspections. Our diligence is methodical. The Plano-Coudon Safety Committee meets monthly with all disciplines to assess existing safety practices, develop plans for improvement and create initiatives to address top issues.
We believe Plano-Coudon is one of the best construction management firms currently working in the area and we are looking forward to working with them on future projects. Our Plano-Coudon team recently received four 2021 Excellence in Construction Awards from the Associated Builders and Contractors Greater Baltimore.
