Inspired by the antiquity of Long Island's Gold Coast, Michael Jay Wallin is devoted to promoting architectural integrity and historical correctness in residential design. Before founding his own boutique architectural firm in 1992, Michael spent 4 years serving in the U.S. army stationed in Germany as a cartographer.
Having developed an appreciation for technical drawing, Michael returned to the U.S subsequently earning his Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from NYIT. Post education and licensure, Michael dedicated himself for 15 years to honing his skills at some of Long Island's top residential design-build firms.
Subscribing to the Greek philosophy of Pythagoras, whereby architecture is based on symmetry and proportions and beauty a product of rational order and harmonious proportion, Michael's artistic vision translates to designs that are historically "correct" and "classically beautiful." Michael's strict adherence to the classical tenets of beauty results in both pleasing aesthetics and rational functionality in everyday living spaces.
