I'm Steve Smith, founder of Mama's Movers, and I appreciate you taking the time to visit our site. My 40+ year professional career working in banking, accounting, office management, income tax preparation and even local ground courier, took an unexpected turn when I became full-time, live-in caregiver for my aunt in Alexandria.
Mama's Movers provides relocation services to Residential and Commercial clients, of any type, locally, in the Washington Metropolitan area, and across the continental United States. We move homes, apartments, and offices (large and small staff counts). We assist with storage. We will pick up and dispose of your unwanted furniture and other items, landscaping and home renovation debris, etc.
Donate usable items to Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc. Keep donation receipts for tax deductions. Some charities will pick up your donations. Transfer all utilities. Advise all offline and online vendors, credit card companies, banks, etc. of your new address. USPS.gov and Post offices have free change of address forms.

Owner is a liar and a cheat. Does not disclose all of the hidden charges, such as truck and storage costs. He will sell your items but you end up owing for those hidden charges. He ripped me off pretty good and does not respond or interested in fixing anything or making things closer to right. Preparing a lawsuit currently.

Ok, I called Mama after (cough) Rockwell's missed three appointments in a row. Four MM packers arrived and did an amazing Tetris-like pack, probably saving me hundreds of dollars by fitting everything into one pod.
This company has great, transparent pricing, expert movers, great communication and they handle challenges without complaint. I think they are going to eat Rockwell's lunch in the next few months and years.
