Services
In 1968 Don Nederhood and Duke Hofstra, two men with an entrepreneurial spirit and a commitment to going the extra mile for a client, decided to start a new venture. What began as a small maintenance company servicing retail clients has grown over the years into a firm that diversified its vast service offerings to meet the ever-changing needs of its clients.
Scott began his career as an accountant with a development firm where he was involved in all financial aspects of the construction process. He worked in construction management and budget development for projects ranging up to 20 million dollars. In 1993 Scott joined D&D working in operations, business development, pre-construction, and serving as the controller.
General Contracting is the traditional design-bid-build process for construction project delivery. D&D Building provides General Contracting services for selected and pre-qualified construction projects throughout the Midwest. Valued relationships with our trade partners allow us to utilize their market experience to provide the highest quality at the best value.
Over the past 50 years, D&D has earned a reputation as a "great place to work." D&D Building is conveniently located off US 131 just a few miles south of downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. From I-96, go West on 28th Street to Eastern. Turn left on Eastern and proceed to 32nd Street. Turn right on 32nd Street and proceed to Union Ave. Turn left on Union Ave. We are located on the left side of the street, with our main office entrance located at the far south end of the building.
