I took my Volkswagen to Volkswagen of Lake Charles for some recommendations. They said they would do an extensive inspection and the invoice was nearly $300 for inspection and diagnostics. 1. They recommended new exhaust system for about $8000. 2. They recommended new brakes and rotors for $1800. 3. They recommended replacing a side mirror switch for about $500. They said everything else was good. The next shop said the brakes were fine with more than 50% life remaining. And they extensively investigated the exhaust system and determined it was still good, just a problem with some fuel

I just recently purchased my 1st Volkswagen from a different dealership and had to take it in to VW of Lake Charles for a minor issue. The service department is amazing! Sales & Finance team were quick and easy, although, I needed an alignment done on the truck I bought because it was shaking when I drove it. There shop spent all day on the alignment and when I drove it home the shake was gone but the steering wheel is sitting at 2 o'clock when the truck is driving straight and still slightly veering to the left. So now I have to find an alignment shop that will fix the problem correctly paying out of my pocket. Because their shop is incompetent of fixing this issue correctly.

I can not brag enough on Shanna Dyson and Stephanie Talbot. They both were so friendly and accommodating. They quickly and efficiently got our vehicle looked into and took care of us with a loaner car. I felt so at peace about our situation with these ladies taking care of us! I made a appointment for an oil change and tire rotation. The oil got changed and the tires DID NOT get rotated. I called to ask why and I asked if I could be called back after they find out why and that was on Monday. The oil was changed on Friday last week. Now it is Wednesday evening and I still haven't gotten a call back.

Horrible new management and service. Don’t buy a new car from them. It’ll break down a day after having it and new management refuses to fix it without you paying an arm & a leg! Finally got it worked on for $1200 even though under warranty, broke down on the side of the road leaving the shop. It’s been a week since they responded and then finally responding saying it’ll be a different parts totaling up to $5,000. Luckily my dad is the main owner of car & has his lawyer on it as of today. Please do not come here. I brought my car in to replace the transmission (also, the check engine light was on). I paid for a diagnostics test to reveal that nothing was wrong with the transmission but the check engine light was on due to EVAP tubes needing to be replaced. I told them to check the transmission again - and they finally figured out that I needed to replace it. I paid 6700 to have the transmission replaced and when I received it back from Shannah (service lady) she told me the car will be great for the next ten years "all that needs to be replaced are the EVAP tubes which is why

Bought a car from there for my niece. Car is under warranty. Stopped running the NEXT day. They told me I'd have to pay $1000 to get it fixed. The manager ended up telling me however since I just got the car the day before that I do not have to pay $1000 and warranty covers it. I go to get it fixed and they tell me that manager no longer works there. They were all being horrible now I have to take legal action and that's what I'm spending my $1000 on. I'm writing this review after seeing someone buy a vehicle there. It took over an hour for them to write up the paper work to finance the vehicle. The reason was given they are short staff. I guess they were so busy selling vehicles to others this person didn't see or they were multitasking. They had the wrong VIN number also. This person was also sent a rejection letter when they first starting looking and was given the run around about why they got it. The one star is for quickly giving me a refund for a percentage of the crappy mechanical work they did on my car. I bought 2 new tires and had my water pump replaced. Within a week, one tire basically disintegrated. Keep in mind these tires weren't inexpensive. Was in Baton Rouge so took it to Southpoint VW where they'd never seen the cheap tire brand before & couldn't warrantee it. VW of Lake Charles quickly refunded me on both crap tires. Fast forward a couple months, my car is now back in the shop with more coolant loss because Lake Charles VW didn't replace an assembly
