For this reason Superman Moving & Storage Service is open later than all of the other moving companies. Plus, our low hourly rate makes us one of the most affordable Anchorage movers you'll ever find.
In the moving and storage industry, the standard rate is by the pound. If you have a lot of heavy furniture or other bulky items, yet only need an Anchorage moving service for a short period of time, the by-the-pound rate isn't quite fair. This company clearly does not have the capacity for out of state moves- and they’ve even told us so by phone - they have no trucks. On the day they packed our house-after all of our belongings were on their truck-they advised us that instead of the 1-2 week delivery time, it would be 6-10 weeks and we would have to pay them for storage. Since then, we’ve only heard from them once (weeks ago) and the story was the same…no trucks, no delivery date in sight. Terrible experience this summer. They came without enough boxes to pack our house. Charged us for the time they took to drive to get more while they sat around. Didn’t get weight tickets like we explicitly asked multiple times. Soooo much of our stuff arrived broken. My pictures were thrown in a box while they bubble wrapped my Tupperware 🙄 They… charged our card for 4 months after our stuff was delivered even after we contacted them and they said they’d refund us. My experience with Superman moving company was amazing and would use them again in a heartbeat. This was my first experience using movers for a local move in Anchorage. After calling around for quotes, not only did Superman movers give me the best rate but they responded well before any other company. I was able to complete everything over the phone in less than 30 minutes. On moving day, Daniel and RJ were great! They moved everything (heavy furniture up 3 flights of stairs) in half the time that other companies had quoted. They also did it while being a lot of fun despite it being well below

My 83 year old mother contacted this company to move her out of her condo in anchorage. I have never encountered a company as unprofessional as this. They never once told her even after several conversations that they don’t provide boxes and that they don’t pack boxes. Three basically kids came and stood around doing I don’t know what while my… brothers ran to the store getting boxes and packing everything. They quoted her 1400.00, she gave them a 450.00 deposit. Moving isn't cheap or stress free. But with super man moving they take away the stress. Mycin, Calvin, Filo, and Wayne were super professional. They took great care of moving furniture from one house to the other and they worked fast without any damages to home or items. I hope I never have to move again but if I did I would request these four men by name. Five star service.

One star is more than they deserve. Worst company I have ever dealt with. They hide their costs in the fine print. Even though the receipt for the upfront payment says it is for a two hour minimum, what it really is is just the hourly rate. The drivers were not truthful about the pickup and delivery times as I have the time stamp on my phone for… when things transpired. Then I get an invoice for the "extra" charges over the deposit even though the receipt said it was for a two hour minimum and the job took just over an hour. I would highly recommend these lovely movers. Their professionalism with how friendly they are and how they get things moved so quickly. I was truly blown away by how much they saved me so much stress. Getting it on the calendar was very simple. They gathered all my info, asked about my furniture, and the estimate was accurate. From A-to-Z, superman and their staff did a great job. I was very impressed with the initial conversation, the enthusiasm for listening and taking care of our items, which went from Alaska to Texas.
