We completed two bathroom remodels with Shorebreak in 2021. Each project was different and both turned out beautiful.
MASTER: In the master bath we tore out the linen closet to open up the space. We went from one sink to two sinks, we chose to remove a door and knock a wall down to a partial wall (pony wall) to create an open-concept bath area. We also transitioned the tub/shower to a walk-in shower.
GUEST: In the guest bath we removed the private door between the sink and bath to open up the space. We also pushed the plumbing in the bath back about 18" which gave us a nice bench and shampoo

We have not started our bathroom remodel yet. Still waiting for quotes from two other contractors. Robin contacted me first to set up a time for Chris to come to the house to look at existing bathroom and learn what we wanted. Great experience. Very knowledgeable, professional and personable. He told us that he would try to get the written quote to us in a few days and he did. Very comprehensive and clear. We are leaning towards hiring him but we want to get prices from other contractors. We will add to this review if we hire Shorebreak Construction. Chris has set a high bar for the others

Chris and his team at Shorebreak were very professional from the start. He was able to give me an estimate of our project within a few days of coming to our home. He and Robin always communicated efficiently and responded promptly. They even helped us fill out an architectural application for our HOA for one of the projects. They did a phenomenal job on our home remodel: expansion, new kitchen, and additional bathroom. Chris and his team were professional and kept us in the loop. Sure, there may be hiccups when you're doing a big project, you cannot expect things to go perfectly because unexpected things do happen that's out of anyone's control. With that being said, Chris & his team always went out of their way to take care of it the best they could.
They were professional (no cussing or talking loudly) and kept the site clean at the end of the day. We love our new home. It has completely changed

We absolutely loved working with Chris and his team. This is going to be a long review! So many wonderful things to say.
They remodeled our master bath and kitchen and we LOVE how everything turned out. We also loved their process. (Excel sheets with every single thing broken out, and they thought of really important things beforehand -like extra electrical needed for inspection etc.) They also installed all new windows and sliding doors.
Working with Robin was incredibly easy and she is always so responsive. She coordinates everything and is amazing.

This is not the review I expected to write when we first started working with Shorebreak Construction and Chris Galikesis last year in October 2019. My husband and I interviewed several general contractors and selected Chris based upon his professionalism and attention to detail that the other contractors lacked. We were excited to start our 6 month renovation project which would update all electrical, plumbing (upgrade to PEX), HVAC (asbestos remediation), windows, flooring, kitchen, 3 bathrooms as well as change the roof line of the home to construct a 24ft sliding glass window wall. I have now worked with Shorebreak over two separate projects. I initially contacted Chris for an estimate at my mothers place for an outdoor shower addition a month ago. He responded immediately and provided a through estimate and was very transparent about his pricing structure. He was honest about some of the unknowns which I appreciated. Not only did they keep their projected construction timeline, they did so while following Covid-19 health guidelines to keep their crew and our family protected. New Year, New Home! If you have ever seen the show "Fixer Upper," then you have an idea of how much Shorebreak Construction transformed our home and lives. Chris and his team took our small 1960s kitchen with very limited storage space/living room and redesigned a beautiful and efficient kitchen, living room, and bathroom with a modern open floor plan.

When I called Shorebreak for our bathroom remodel, Chris came out within a few days for an estimate. This review is based off of the quoting process with Chris and Shorebreak as I was never able to actually use their services.
Chris came out to quote some garage and wall repair and he seemed pretty knowledgable, if not a bit socially awkward. Nice enough guy and seemed to know his stuff, even giving us a packet of info at the end about types of licensing he has etc. He said we'd have the quote early the next week (about 5-7 days later).
When I didn't received a quote early the next week, I texted the assistant and she said Chris was hoping to have it to me by the end of the week

After a SUV hit our garage, we needed to find a contactor to fix our garage fast. I wanted to use a local reliable company and Yelp helped me find Chris @ SHorebreak Construction!
I can't say enough about what a fantastic job they did! Robin in the office was great keeping me updated, Mike was awesome on-site and Chris made sure they stayed on tact as well as getting the city inspection done.

Chris and his team were amazing and my remodel came out great. They are very detail oriented and they execute a higher level of quality and service than I have seen from any other contractors out there. I have had bad experiences with other contractors in the past so was hesitant but they were great at reassuring me and kept me updated on the process at all times. Thank you for helping make my home beautiful without and stress on my part!

Loved working with Chris and his crew. I felt at peace knowing that Chris and his team were treating my house like their own house. It's hard to find good contractors, but Shorebreak is one that I can fully trust. Chris and his crew came in and, from start to finish, (which was on time to the exact day!) did an amazing job. Professional, CLEAN, organized, conscientious and very trustworthy. We knocked down walls, ripped up floors, tore down everything including the kitchen sink. Even when we had unforeseen MAJOR plumbing issues, Chris handled it with aplomb. His subs were all awesome and came when they said they would and did what they promised. One thing about Fountain Valley is they are infamous for their building inspectors.
