Our 15 year old pond developed a leak and while contacting perspective pond restorers we came upon Scott Anderson Design. We spoke to several designers prior to speaking with Scott, and after speaking with him we were impressed with his ideas and work ethic. The job went extremely well and we would not hesitate to recommend Scott and his crew. It was a pleasure to work with him. We had no issues and very pleased with the outcome.

This company has the worst customer service ever. Their employees came to remove my lights and rang my doorbell without any masks/face covering on. As I simply ignored them on my home surveillance, I notice one worker with a chronic cough. When I contacted the company, a representative said "we don't wear masks." Really?? how irresponsible of you Scott Anderson. To get disrespected like this Out of all days, on king's birthday. I will definitely add this on my Instagram page. Disgusting and careless.

This is after 3 months of watering everyday, considering the amount of rain we had this year. Scott refused to plant sod despite the fact that he over charged me for such a small project. I have been sending him pictures of the lawn in the past 3 months, expressing my disappointment and frustration, but all he did was to reseed the area which didn't do anything. The problem is there the are seeding over a huge pile of wood chips as opposed to soil. He refuses to accept no grass will grow here without any soil. I hope this review convinces him to come back, add soil and sod.

A few months ago we hired Scott Anderson Designs to do extensive work on our front and back yards. They pruned, cleaned, planted, and mulched, etc. It was the second phase of an exterior renovation that took many weeks to complete, and because of the cost involved we interviewed several contractors. Scott was professional, knowledgeable, and patient. Working with him on planning was a straightforward process. His team then did an excellent job overall and now our house has a significantly enhanced curb appeal. We highly recommend Scott Anderson Designs.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience with Scott Anderson Designs. We interviewed a few design companies prior to hiring Scott Landscape and Design and we thought that he shared our vision. When we were going through the list of what plants we were going to plant we trusted that the company would have the expertise on what plants would be needed and how big they would grow. What actually happened was that he recommended too many plants and trees. Once everything started growing in last year, instead of getting that backyard paradise that the company promises, I got a jungle. Everything

Scott & John did a great job on my back yard including a new lawn, lots of plantings, patio installation & a dry bed with stepping stones. They were easy to talk to and accommodated lots of changes. Looking forward to seeing everything bloom this spring. Then on to the front yard.

I highly recommend Scott Anderson Designs. Mr. Anderson is a very honest and reliable man.
This company does Christmas lighting for both my home and my parents home as well. We are highly satisfied with not only the work but with Mr. Anderson's staff.
About two hours ago I contacted Mr. Anderson due to something that I saw with my lights that needed to be adjusted.
In the matter of an hour he had a staff member by the name of Emily at my front door. Emily is very pleasant, professional and very knowledgeable.

Scott and his team did a great landscaping job. They completed the work in one day. They were efficient, clean and very helpful since we had a lot of questions regarding plants and our vegetable garden. They cleaned and spruced up my yard which was looking to be a disaster. Our shrubs and trees were overgrown and seriously needed a trimming. Besides that we had more weeds than grass which he helped and showed us how to control. Highly recommend them.

Unfortunately my experience with Scott was not quite as stellar as these previous reviews. We hired Scott to clear some trees from our building's backyard area and place artificial grass. He offered a reasonable price and although he was based in LI, he had great reviews on his site (perhaps not the most impartial in retrospect) but also on Yelp so we hired him to do our job in Brooklyn. He was easy to deal with and pretty quick to respond to questions prior to doing the work which was promising. When he arrived on the job, we unfortunately had a less than amazing experience. Wonderful to work with. Wanted astroturf in my backyard to train my dogs. My property was overrun with weeds and the ground wasn't level. I had approached several other landscapers and turf companies and the quotes I was receiving were equivalent to home down payments!!! I did some research and found affordable turf on Amazon but then discovered many of the landscapers would only put down turf from the companies with whom they were affiliated. Scott is one of the most responsive and responsible contractor you can find. I hired him for a big ivy removal job in my old house. He also did landscape on my garden. He and his crew shows up on time everyday as promised. He delivers exactly what he says. His price is very competitive. I made the mistake of using another landscaper for a portion of my new house under the impression that new landscaper might have leverage with my village for permit and approval. Big mistake! Comparing the works between two landscapers, Scott's work ethics and professionalism is just way above a knotch. I

He gave me a complete sketch of the new garden with the flowers, shrubs and trees he suggested before he even broke ground. I knew exactly what I was getting beforehand. No surprises !!
How many times do jobs go over budget leaving the homeowner bewildered? Not Scott. He gave me a beautiful garden within my tight budget. That really meant a lot.

Scott Anderson Design has been doing landscape design for more than 15 years now. Scott is very experienced in all aspects of landscaping including construction. He listened to my idea of how I wanted my front yard to look and provided a great design. I would definitely recommend Scott Anderson Design to any home owner and property/ facilities manager. I had Scott and team do a bunch of landscaping around my house in Lido Beach this summer. It was a pretty big job: removal of a bunch of trees/shrubs/weeds/poison ivy/etc. Then planting 20 or so native plants around the yard. It looks really great, and Scott's team came in and did the job on schedule, and the entire thing only took a day and half. I asked a few follow-up questions since then, and I always received prompt and helpful replies. I'd definitely use him again.
