Moved into a new house with Depew as existing company. Due to their inflated prices, I continued with my previous propane company. When asked about credit for tanks, was told there won't be any due to pick up fees, yet they won't give me a pick up date. It has been over a week. So I am being charged 2 times for the unused propane and I'm being charged for a pick up fee when I am holding their tanks on my property. I won't even get into how rude and dismissive the receptionist was. Needless to say, she would not get me a supervisor.

Lem, Glenn and Tom did an absolutely fantastic job. They were all very professional courteous considerate and pleasantly respectful. It was very obvious that they take immense pride in the performance of their craft. My family and I are very happy and thankful these gentlemen were assigned to do our boiler replacement.

Just want to thank Depew Oil for taking great care of my elderly parents. They had an oil tank emergency across the river and their own oil company could not fit them in for weeks. Steven at Depew received our call and they were there in days and did a fantastic, efficient, clean job. Our sincere thanks for a job well done!
Also on the 30th of Aug, a lightening strike damaged our furnace. Tommy and Lam were there right away, diagnosed the problem, got the parts and had the furnace running in about an hour. Very grateful.

We are very happy that we just switched to Depew from another local provider who continued to rate creep our propane. We called many other providers, but Depew had the quickest timeline, one of the best prices, and great customer service! They are going to save us about $1500 from our other provider!

I called for service on a Friday at around 3pm and they were able to send someone to my house within a couple of hours. The technician was very knowledgeable and he found what the problem with my boiler was in just a couple of minutes. He explained to me what the problem was and quickly replaced the bad part. Luckily for me, the part was covered under my service contract so I did not have to pay anything for the visit. Years ago I had an unpleasant experience with the company, but this time I was very pleased with their service.

Calling Depew is never an enjoyable experience. It's the worst customer service in the industry. Most recently, I had to call about a billing issue and the lady on the phone was very sarcastic, rude and not cooperative at all. I was cancelling my delivery because I found a significantly cheaper price. She told me she was terminating our service contract because Depew won't service a furnace with another companies oil, which is I suppose, understandable. But what happened next shocked me. I used Depew for 12 years. Every visit was a hassle.
1) Always and I mean ALWAYS the highest price. Right now at the off season their 60 cents a gallon higher than competitors. Look at the fancy cars , big boat and expensive pick up trucks at their office and you'll know where your money goes!
2) They missed auto deliveries several times (usually right before a big storm) and then tried charge extra for emergency delivery. So what was the purpose of auto-delivery?

Stay away from this company they do not know the meaning of customer service. Doesn't matter how long you've been with them and have contributed to their company, the bottom line is they only think of themselves and no one else. Oil is oil in this area, everybody goes to Newburgh to get it so it comes down to price and customer service and this firm does not have either. Shop around. I'd rather give more money to another company that treats their customers with respect.

I'm a walk-in propane customer and I think their customer service is terrific. I grill all year long so getting a refill, not having to exchange tanks and having people be nice to me for a measly $12.00 is an amazing thing.
There has never been a visit where I wasn't warmly greeted and generally treated like gold. I also pay with a debit card which many places give you a hard time about using if the purchase is under a certain amount. I get my receipt with a smile and genuine thank you. Absolutely rude crooks of a company. I'm actually appalled at the remarks I got over the phone when trying to resolve an issue after they couldn't figure out how to split the bill between me and another tenant on the property. When my credit card got charged for their bill they said try and get the money from the tenant. Are you kidding me? Refund my money for your secretary mistake. The bank ended up taking care of this issue for me. Which leads into my next complaint as if I already didn't dislike them enough.

They kept almost $300 of mine. Used Depew propane at an apt I rented. I paid all of my bills early for a year. I made several calls in the month before I moved out to make sure they stopped delivery and then several more calls to ask how to read the gauges and calculate remaining propane value. On every one of these calls they left out an important fact. Two or three days after I moved their techs came and removed the two almost full tanks, even commented to the neighbors that I should have uses more propane because the tanks were heavy and hard to lift. We recently bought a new home and Depew Energy was previously servicing the home so we decided to give them a try. We were also in need of a new boiler. We have been more than pleased with the service and competitive pricing. Steve and his team were professional, responsive and had very fair pricing. While we were still in the decision making process we ended needing service on the oil boiler and Steve was really flexible. He gave recommendations to to make it cost effective and did not try to over sell. I would highly recommend Depew and Steve. A good local business!!

So these idiots keep putting the invoice in my garage door......well Einstein's it's been windy and I NEVER know when you've delivered to pay within the 14 day window! Now I will send payment when I fee fit because you don't want to make sure that I have received my bill by putting it in my mailbox. Oh and Tiffany needs some customer service training, what a snotty little b*tch. What a joke these guys are, I wish I would have know what kind of douches they were when I bought my house so we could have gone with someone else!

We ordered a propane delivery for a Tuesday in December, and then discovered we were a little short on funds until pay day. Preparing ourselves to microwave leftovers and wrap up in extra blankets, we called Depew in order to reschedule- only to have them work the finances out with us and make sure that we got our oil immediately. We didn't even ask them to do that! We were very impressed and grateful for the generosity and non-judgement.

Worst customer service ever. Depew Engery employees have an attitude and lie. I have been a customer for 6 years. I own an apartment and they jut informed me they do not want to deal will servicing apartments because tenants move out and they get tiffed. We have never stuck Depew Energy with a bill. Ever!!! Avoid these unprofessional a$sholes.
