TaitCo was called for an estimate to replace every section of my roof, in its entirety. Spencer Tait said that it did not need to be replaced, but... knowing the history of my roof... I insisted that it did. We went back and forth numerous times with me actually asking for them to do more work. Eventually they said that my shingles were new, but that they were installed wrong and could be reinstalled properly. What he said was very true at the time. It took a bit of convincing, but they did eventually convince me that they could make all of the repairs.

They do good work at a reasonable cost ... IF and WHEN they ever show up! I've received 3 estimates, but they only completed 1 job. On a simple roof repair with a $150 estimate, I was told they could "squeeze me" in within 4-6 weeks. More than 12 weeks later, and after several follow-up calls, they still couldn't commit to coming out, so I gave up and moved on. The have a very odd way of doing business that does not work for me.

We were grossly overcharged for our service. They found the problem 4 visits later and had the audacity to charge us for the subsequent visits. The person who came to our house told his boss (who wrote us a nasty response, extremely unprofessional I might add, glad he supported his employee but NEVER called us to discuss the issue.) ) that we said it was caused by the rain (we are senior citizens, what do we know about roofing) , (my favorite of why it was still leaking after more than a month was that he found rusted nails, . He made up obscure reasons of why the roof was still leaking. Pulling

I choose to use Tait Roofing because they are local and I see the signs around a lot in town. While under agreement of sale I needed an estimate on my new property. I felt very assured my the professionalism of the office staff that I would receive my estimate within the time frame discussed. Now I have been strung along for over a week longer than discussed with no estimate or straight answer.
I now have to go into settlement not having an idea of how much I will be spending on the roof.
The office staff is great, but that isn't getting my roof fixed!
