When I started to build my company in 1980, I knew that what I learned from my father would provide me with a unique skill set to pass to my employees. I started Doug's So Cal Painting with just a couple of guys to help me begin my business and get it off the ground. Over the years, I have turned those "couple of guys" into several full-time crews.

Beware of this company. We purchased a brand new house and hired this company to paint our house before we moved in. They painted my whole house in 1 day, they said they would take off the covers for the outlets and didn't. I had over paint all over my counters, they left it there.
While they came back to fix one thing, after that they stopped answering messages about things they messed up.
Do not have them do you epoxy floors either. They suggested we don't do the clear coat and now the floors are hard to clean. I'll have to pay someone to re do it.

Called several times and made appointment with them several times. No call, no show. Also they seemed very bothered to take my call let alone commit to showing up at a reasonable time. I found it strange that in 2 weeks no one wants to work and take my money. This is just the sign of times I guess. I'm glad I didn't hire them. Hard working home owners beware!

Selling my home meant a variety of repairs from nicks to rusted panels. My father and son team, part of the teams Doug mentions in the website, were awesome. They didn't just patch, they made every issue look as if new. And they were polite, apprised me of every step, they are very affordable and clean.
No joke, as soon as I post this, I am calling Doug's for another quote for my rear yard wall.

The other company came out, and I have to tell you that the estimator smelled like smoke and like he hadn't washed in days. Decision

These guys were so professional. I never seen such quality work. Both men were kind, professional and very talented. They are organized, clean and went an extra mile.
Our ceiling was leaking. Doug came immediately told us the cost. He was super efficient with the estimate. They showed up on time. And even washed the outside best their truck,

Jose and his team did an amazing job. I am so happy with how the exterior of my house looks. Although I didn't receive a reply to my initial Yelp message, Doug answered right away when I called, and was very responsive. Brian came out the next day for an estimate, and were out the day after that to begin the job. The quality of their work is top notch, and they made sure to clean up the entire area and put everything back in their exact locations. Really great experience - highly recommend!

Not impressed at all. They were hire by my contractor and while they did a good job the first time out. They were called out two more additional times and the painting wasn't as great. They managed to get paint on a new couch and painted around a magnet on the door instead of removing the magnet. Doug came out the next day to clean the couch and thankfully the paint came out. When they came out to do another job, they got paint on my shutters, and told me that they couldn't paint certain areas because it was too hard to reach. As a professional, aren't you suppose to figure out how

My house needed the whole exterior painted, power washed, and stucco cracks fixed and Doug and his team were so amazing! I am absolutely delighted by the work they did! Absolutely great customer service. They arrived everyday on time and the job was completed when expected. They kept all of our things protected and covered. When we moved in our new home the walls were a tan/brown color with dark cabinets. I personally prefer a light/bright feel in my home. I'm impressed with how amazing it all looks! I definitely recommend them! I will definitely use them again in the future. I will post a before and after.

While Doug was very nice I was taken aback by the price fluctuation, our neighbors paid 2400 and some change for cabinet painting a few doors down.
He quoted me 4,800!!!! I literally started laughing and thanked him for his time, he even pulled up their quote and confirmed it and said the prices went up. They sure did, they DOUBLED-!!! This quote was still one thousand higher than the highest quote we had received previously, shop around folks!
Also, he referred me to a contractor who came by and gave me a verbal estimate and never sent the bid. I shared the cost for the work with my dad who

Doug's professionalism occurred throughout the entire experience of painting our home. He came to our house, was extremely nice and direct with what needed to happen, gave us multiple options, and gave us a competitive estimate with a quick turnaround time. Once the paint crew got started, they kept us up to date with status and finished on time with the exact direction we provided. Good communication, great price with wonderful execution. Awesome! I reached out last minute for a paint touch up/patching after a local flooring company damaged my walls. They came out the following day for a quote and were back at the house the following week to do the job. Very professional and his guy did a great job; you can't tell there was ever damage to the wall. They textured it and everything. I will use them in the future!

Greg and Heather are stellar at helping to choose colors that will work with the house tones - they gave me just enough options to help me feel like I had control in the final selections (of course I did, but I needed some professional guidance) but with confidence to know which colors would complement the house's natural warmth.
While I did not meet the painters themselves, they did incredible work.
Would work with the team again, no doubt.

Doug and his team did a great job on painting our house. Showed up on time every day and completed the project as scheduled. Included entire exterior paint, in which we did a major color change. Also completed my handrail for stairs. Sanded down the honey oak color and put a nice espresso stain. looks amazing.
