When I started my business I wanted to take a different approach. I decided to make every job personal, as if it was my home I was painting. Here on the Central Coast of California we work from Paso Robles, Atascadero, San Luis Obispo, the Five Cities as well as north coast to Morro Bay and Cayucos.

Services
I moved to San Luis Obispo when I was 23 in March of 1998 from Venice Beach, CA. Upon my arrival I went to work for Bruce Owens Painting as an apprentice. I sanded, calked, patched, sanded some more and rolled a lot of walls. Bruces work was mainly in Cambria at that time and with the weather conditions changing so drastically from one area of the central coast to the other I learned a few things about the coast.

Over a year later, the paint on our deck began to have a "white film" on it. Jacob came out and looked at it and got the representative from the paint company to look at it. The rep felt that it was not his paint and suggested we scrub the deck, which we did. That actually made it look worse since it removed a bit of dirt but left the "whiteness" behind. Jacob brought a different type of paint and painted it at no cost to us because he felt it was the right thing to do. As you can imagine, we were extremely pleased! Thank you Jacob.

I was referred to Under the Sun Painting by a San Luis Obispo neighbor. Jacob, the owner, called me back in two days (he was away for the weekend). He came that same day to look over what I needed done, and did the work the next day. Super impressed with his prompt follow-up, work, and professionalism. I own the property on Eto Circle and am four hours away, but Jacob made everything go smooth sailing. Would definitely recommend his company!!

I have this house and I need it to be painted. Naturally, I look on yelp and get a good number of businesses to call for estimates of the rooms. I begin to call them to set up visits and this is where the experience goes south. Some of these local businesses never call me back, others (who will not be mentioned) call me the morning of (6am) just to cancel, and those that come give me these enormous estimates. I end up sad and call my previous contractor for recommendations and he tells me to call Jacob. I call him and leave a message and surprisingly he calls me back soon. He comes over to take
