Sterling Works did an amazing job on our complete kitchen renovation. They took the kitchen and laundry in our 1941 home down to the studs, moved/added a support beam, and built it all back up again, creating a new cleverly hidden laundry in the process. Every one of Philip's amazing team was talented, conscientious, polite and personable. They were a joy to work with. The team at Sterling Works is top notch! I would argue that Philip is the best in the contractor arena and his crew is kind, reliable, and so hard working! We hired Sterling Works for our master bath expansion/renovation and master closet addition. They were absolutely fantastic start to finish. Philip is a great guy and had lots of really helpful suggestions along the way for details we wouldn't have thought of otherwise. Philip and his team were a pleasure to work with. In addition to re-working the floor plan, updating the kitchen, and adding two new bathrooms they went above and beyond fixing all the surprises and damage (termite and fire) to the 1920s bungalow I bought.
I was very adamant about keeping with the character of the house, and they did a great job matching the trim, windows, and new flooring to the old windows and floors. They transformed an old beat up rental into an awesome home! Thanks guys!

I'm very happy I went with Sterling Works. They did a fantastic job. I had them do a bit of a potpourri of renovations on my house, with the biggest being my master bathroom. That bathroom is now completely transformed and I love it! Phil and his guys are really easy to work with and I especially liked the main two guys that did most of the work on my house. They were very personable and masters at what they did. And they seemed to be able to do anything. Also, if it weren't for a few delays, caused solely by the pandemic, they would have finished right on time. You can't beat that! I did my research

I was about to hire Phillip, but then he terminated our relationship. Why? because he insisted on discussing politics and we clearly do not agree. I make it a policy to not ever discuss politics in business dealings, but he continued bringing it up. When I awkwardly told him that I wasn't comfortable with this, he promptly sent an email saying he couldn't work with me and my wife.

I highly recommend Sterling Works, particularly if you have a sentimental attachment to your older home and want to respect its bones. :) Phil and Sterling Works built out my upstairs addition, and the craftsmanship is more than I had hoped for. They also wrapped up about a month ahead of schedule and total cost ended up being significantly less than other quotes. Phil kept me informed throughout the process and was very responsive when I had questions or concerns. The electricians, plumbers, painters, etc. were all amazing (to the degree that I got their numbers and shared on my neighborhood list

Philip and his team were awesome to work with. To our 1950s ranch, we added a hallway, laundry room, master bedroom, master bathroom, screened in porch and deck. Knowing a project of this size can come with hiccups, Sterling Works delivered on time and on budget. When we're ready to take on our next phase of renovation, Philip is my first and only call. I cannot recommend this company enough.

I had a similar experience with previous reviewers. I called to get an estimate for a potential project and did not receive a return phone call. After waiting a week, I left another voicemail. I finally received an email indicating my project did not meet their minimum bid. This was without actually seeing the potential project or even talking to me by phone.

I wish they would have just called me back! I called and gave a person all my contact information and details on the job. I was told that my job was the type they do and then was not contacted. I called a week later to see if they decided to do my project or if they already had enough jobs at the moment, all of my information was collected again and a month later I haven't heard from the company!
I'm not going to beg you to take my money. Moving on to find another contractor!

We hired Sterling Works to completely gut our old kitchen and refinish the original hardwood floors in our 1920's home. We could not be more thrilled at the end result. Philip and Tim truly listened to what I wanted in my kitchen and wow, did they deliver. We work out of our home so someone was here most of the time. Everyone on Philips team was so conscientious and the work is meticulous. Working with Philip was a pleasure and he made keeping track of the $ easy. We are planning to use Sterling Works again for the next project.

We hired Sterling Works to do a major renovation and upgrade to our Brookhaven home's kitchen. Philip worked with us, listened carefully and added some great ideas. His workers were polite, conscientious and skilled. We never worried about having to be at home to oversee anyone. A few very minor surprises were quickly taken care of at no extra cost and the final result is wonderful. Philip and I worked together on a project for a very detail oriented customer. He was the general contractor doing a large amount of interior and exterior remodeling as well as correcting the damage from areas we had to restore. He specializes in the highest quality of work, his employees and subcontractors are artisans, producing invisible joints in stain grade trim and custom built in cabinets, and exterior features that could be in a Southern Living article. If you are looking for a quality contractor, choose Philip and Sterling Works

We hired Sterling Works to complete the renovation aspect of our kitchen. They did exactly what we asked and were very accommodating from start to finish. They understood our budget and were willing to exclude scope that we could do ourselves (ie, painting, backsplash, etc). They were always at the house when they said they'd be and completed the project when they said they would be done. And, to echo what others wrote, Sterling Works' price is very good, especially for the level of service you will receive.

Excellent value for money - we would not have been able to afford this renovation with another company and we ended up with a great finished product that we are very happy with! Renovation was finished somewhat close to on time and on budget and Philip was very considerate about the financial strains caused by the overages.

I hired Sterling Works for a remodel of my master closet, which included a little work to the master bath and bedroom as well. Philip was very easy to work with in planning it all out, patient when I am sure I was a pain, and the work they did was outstanding.
We miscommunicated on when the project would be done and it took two days longer than I thought it would, but it was soooo worth it.
Also- i should mention that they charged much less than a lot of the other bids I received. Very fair, honest, and easy to work with. I would hire them again in heartbeat.
