West Hills Fence is the epitome of high-quality professional service, from Lucy in the office always returning phone calls and e-mails promptly, to Nelson and his crew who built a beautiful redwood fence, after removing a vine-encrusted fence that had to be cut out with power saws. Before I knew what type of wood I wanted to use, they delivered samples of three different boards we were considering so we could see and touch them. We all understand the mix of joy, relief, appreciation, and (sadly) shock, when you find a vendor that knows what they are doing mixed with jaw-dropping customer service.
Found that with Westhills Fence...to such an extent that i vowed to write a (rare) review.
Not only were Nelson (owner? foreman? Lead fence-sales guy?) and Lucy (owner? Forewoman? Well, definitely the person who pulls everything together) absolutely amazing to work with, but most importantly, their crew did a spectacular job in the span of two days.
We had bought a 1922 pasadena bungalow and needed a periphery fence

Nelson and his team were prompt, professional, and highly skilled. They use top quality materials, so it wasn't a discount price; but the workmanship is top-notch and our backyard has been transformed! Dealing with Lucy in the office was also a pleasure, feels like a real family style business and they take pride in their work!

Can't recommend enough! They fit us in weeks ahead of schedule (to accommodate for a new baby on the way), and did a beautiful job. The price was very reasonable and we are very happy with the workmanship.
They arrived early every work day, and were extremely tidy. No other contractors have worked with this sort of care in my experience.

Westhills Fence put in a redwood fence that borders my property w/my neighbors. They were by far the MOST EXPENSIVE, so my neighbor was sold on them, lol, despite many more reasonable bids. I didn't feel like quibbling about it so we hired Westhills Fence;
It was a slam up job: Upon completion here were many BOARDS NOT NAILED DOWN AT THE BOTTOM, so you could move the board up about one foot... (we paid for screws but they put in nails). Additionally, now after a few months, there is a GAP OF GREATER THAN 1/4 INCH BETWEEN EACH BOARD SO THERE IS NO PRIVACY--clearly they used inferior not

A very professional job! Nelson and his crew rebuilt a gate and a 50 ft long 8 ft high side cedar and redwood fence, all in a day and a half. They were mindful of existing plants and they cleaned up too. If you blinked, you wouldn't have known they were there. They had to delay the start due to wet weather and happily accommodated by postponing a few days further as we had a party planned for the day after the proposed delayed start date. Also they came back promptly and fixed a small miscommunication in the design. Lucy in their office kept us appraised of schedules.

Horrible experience. I called twice, it took two weeks to get a return call. On the day of my appointment, Nelson missed his first appointment, and then his scheduler failed to tell me when he was arriving. As a result, I wasn't at home. When he arrived and called me at my office, he gave me grief about not already being at home! Very unreliable receptionist and he was rude. Unprofessional.

WestHills fence did a great job on fences for my back yard (6 ft high composite material) and front/side yards (redwood picket fence, 3.5 ft high). Nelson is reliable and honest and knows what he is doing. He always showed up when he said he would and got the job done ahead of schedule. I just love my new fences!

These guys are the best! I have not one complaint. Came out and gave us some ideas, showed us pictures, provided an estimate, came on the morning we agreed upon (early!), and by the end of that day we had a beautiful fence! They worked hard and did great work! All of the neighbors have been asking for their phone number.

Westhills Fence helped me with a fence in my previous house that had fallen down. They showed up on time, and started the repair right then. Repairs were done right the first time at a cost I thought was reasonable. The same thing happened with this company when I called them for a broken gate in my current house. Westhills Fence is dependable, honest, and fair. I am so glad I found the right company. I wish I could tell everyone about them.
