In 2007, Great Lakes 1-800 Painting LLC opened its doors with one dedicated owner with a few hand tools and a vision. Rob Youness, President of Great Lakes 1-800 Painting LLC partnered with Mark Quinn and purchased Hilgendorf Painting Inc. of Davison, MI in 2012. Along with a dependable staff that exceeds 20 painters in the summer months, we pride ourselves on our commitment to growth focusing on unparalleled customer service and professionalism.
We specialize in residential interior painting projects such as re-paints, painting and finishing drywall, trim, custom color schemes, sports team themed color schemes, and even new construction painting. Exterior paints are designed to help protect your homes outer walls from the elements. Poor quality exterior paint jobs don't last very long in the diverse environmental conditions that we have in Michigan.
We're asking our local community to submit stories of a nonprofit or people they know who are in need of painting but can't afford it due to some difficulties in life that they may have experienced. Once these stories are submitted, our Great Lakes 1-800 PAINTING team will vote on the top candidates and announce the winner soon after.

We are so pleased with the work done in our kitchen! I was very skeptical about choosing a color and finish for our cupboards. I started out thinking I wanted to paint the wood. I'm so thankful that you suggested a darker wood stain on our old golden oak cupboards. We love the new color!

I would highly recommend Great Lakes 1-800 Painting. Rob and his crew were professional and responsive from start to finish. They painted the walls, ceilings, doors and trim in my living, dining, kitchen, master bedroom and bath, two hallways, a stairway and kitchen cabinets. They did an enormous amount of prep work, moved and covered furniture daily and cleaned up before leaving at the end of the day. They always arrived in the morning when promised and communicated their work plan for the day. The results were better than I could have hoped and well worth the minor inconvenience posed by painting

Rob and the whole team, (Josh, Travis, Jake and DeWight) that were involved in the epoxy of my garage floor and the repair and painting of the walls were amazing! They were knowledgeable, professional, efficient and their work was of the highest quality. They took the care and time to make sure they knew exactly what I wanted and that I was satisfied every step of the way. We hired them to paint my mother's home. They gave a very reasonable quote and worked with us since we were providing this as a gift to my mother. There execution was excellent and they were professional. Rob kept us up to date on when he would start and letting us know about any delays. Overall we are very happy with the results and would highly recommend them.

We have used the crew at GL Painting twice now and could not be happier. The first time was for our interior walls, and this time around we had our kitchen cabinets and island painted. Rob the owner was awesome and came over and offered advice on colors to blend well into the rest of the house. The painters were more than professional, efficient and precise. One thing that stood out the most to me is their prep work and clean up. You can tell each worker is trained well in providing the best painting experience. Overall-extremely happy with the whole job and will be using them for future!

I have had hired many companies to paint over the years.
Great lakes did an epoxy on a 30-40 garage floor which turned out amazing, and has just completed our office building. I have Never seen such a beautiful and articulate job in my life. There crew was extremely polite and conscientious of their work. (took only 2 days)
