Services
Yard Smart provides weekly lawn mowing and edging for Long Island homes. Our weekly maintenance service also includes removing weed and turning of the beds, and general cleaning up of your property. We also remove any garbage, debris and branches on your property. Weekly maintenance is the weekly mowing and edging of the lawn, weeding and turning of the beds, and general cleaning and maintenance of your property.
Ensuring your yard is fertilized and protected properly from various invasive pests is vital to the health and well being of your lawn and shrubbery. Yard Smart maintains its New York State Pesticide license and offers completely integrated organic and inorganic lawn treatment programs at the most reasonable prices available.
Spring and Fall Clean ups are vital to the health and well being of your lawn. In the spring we clean up any leaves left over from the winter, thatch the lawn which removes any dead grass, allowing new grass to grow, seed and for those customers with a fertilizer program, put down an application of lime and spring blend of fertilizer.
New Seed and Sod installation are the two main methods of installing a lawn. Sod is pre-grown grass that is installed on the surface of a property. Within a few weeks the roots from the sod penetrate to the surface soil below and the sod will adhere to the ground. Sod offers an immediate and flawless lush, green lawn.
Aerating is the process of systematically puncturing the top layer of soil in a lawn and allowing the infiltration of water, oxygen and nutrients to the roots of the grass. After about two months, the soil also softens up alleviating the issue of constriction on the existing root system. At Yard Smart, we Aerate every lawn in September with a high quality Fescue Seed.

This is by far the best landscaping business around town!!!! I love Mike and his team!! The proof is in the pudding. My grass is the greenest on the block and they know what they are doing. Efficient and punctual! Anything I need from trimming bushes or moving trees they do. I had some trees topple over due to heavy winds and rain. They put stakes repositioned my trees and now they are perfectly upright for the last 3 years! Highly recommended and Mike the owner served out country to fight for our freedom. Support our Veterans!!!

We have been using Michael and Yard Smart since he took over this aspect of the business from our long time landscaper Manny. MIchael is experienced, ambitious, courteous and professional. He oversees his crew carefully, visits our house often and most pleasant to deal with. In a highly competitive industry Michael stands head and shoulders above the competition! He constantly updates his services, is reasonably priced and I have never thought of choosing anyone else and I Highly recommend Yard Smart Lawn Care and its owner Michael! Keep up the good work!

I had been using a local landscaper for years for my small house in Plainview and they were great! Moved to a 1/2 acre property and it was a bit big for them I think and they recommended Yard Smart. So glad they did. Michael is the owner and very hands on, they gave me a great price on my weekly cutting and maintenance, and I have hired them for 3 small planting projects that have all come out better than expected. Highly recommend.

Long story short - we have had a wonderful experience with Yard Smart, especially with the owner Mike.
The past few weeks, we had been shopping for the best rates to install sod within our property. Not only did Mike offer the most reasonable and competitive prices, but he was professional and forthright about what we needed and did not need. He did not try to up sale us.
On the day of installation, Mike and his team came on time and got straight to work. They work quick and efficiently. They were able to lay out all the sod within the day. The seams between the sod pieces were barely visible

I used to cut my own grass after my old landcaper did poor job with the lawn.
Now my wife and I are very happy to have Mike and the team maintain our lawn. They do an excellent job everytime. Just got the fall clean up done and my lawn looks great! Mike is honest, very professional and the price is good.
