John Baxter graduated from North Georgia College and State University in 2010 with a Business Management degree. He has many years of lawn maintenance and landscape installation experience and has completed landscape and horticulture courses. His role in the company is focused on the overall development of the company, administrative oversight and some operations.

The company was founded in May of 2010 by John Baxter after graduating from North Georgia College and State University with a degree in Business Management. We offer a variety of installation services that are personalized for your home or business. From a small flower bed or stone walkway at your home to a full new commercial property installation, we can design and install the perfect landscape to match your taste and budget. From a small job adding a few shrubs to a large job adding thousands of plants and trees our crews will professionally carry out any task.
Our team is licensed by the Georgia Department of Agriculture and routinely goes to continuing education classes to be up-to-date with trends in turf grass management. We can take many lawns that look like they may never come back and bring them back to life. Our team is always looking for ways to improve our program to meet the environmental changes that are always occurring.

We are so pleased with our landscape installation. From beginning to end, it was a job well done. The Deep Roots crew was friendly, polite, and sometimes funny. Everyone went above and beyond to assure we were happy with the sod and rock path placements. We will be praising you friends, family, and neighbors. John Baxter and Ben Filchak, and their team do the best job! They are easy to work with, listen to your wants and needs, and make it happen. They have cared for my lawn, my parents' lawn, my grandmothers' lawn, as well as almost all of our convenience stores that we own. They did a beautiful install at our newest location in Cleveland and everyone always compliments how good it looks. I can only say good things about Deep Roots and I hope you will use them for all of your landscape needs.

Although the men of the company did a really great job. I am only giving a 3 star because they really overcharged me after I set up for the year. I asked for several things extra like black mulch and to spray a few times. and it more than doubled my yearly quote. After paying it I found out that the mulch was less than half of what the cost should have been. $1800 to put down mulch (which they did in like 4 hours or so. So I was just disappointed. I found a new place that said that the mulch installed should have cost about $950 max. Plus there quote for a full yard remake was 50% higher than the

Very good company. They did a large redesign project for our backyard and put out 160 bales of long-needle straw on our front beds. It all looks fantastic! Everyone is extremely courteous, friendly, and very hard-working. The co-owner was actually on site with his hands in the dirt alongside the crew both days! It's a rare find to get someone who takes pride in their work nowadays. I would recommend Ben and team to everyone that asks.
