Services
Daniel Ball and Associates, Inc. is a full service Architecture and Planning firm located in Columbia, MD. Although we primarily assist clients in the Mid-Atlantic region, we maintain architectural registration in other regions for national clients. We have expertise and experience in the design and construction of a broad range of building types.
Site planning generally begins by assessing a potential site for development through a site analysis. Information about slope, soils, hydrology, vegetation, parcel ownership, orientation, etc. are assessed and mapped. By determining areas that are poor for development (such as floodplain or steep slopes) and better for development, we can assess optimal locations and design a structure that works within this space.
Each design is executed to meet the needs of the client within the time and budgetary parameters established in the design program. DBA strives to provide both design and technical excellence in every project. Drawings and specifications are prepared by a group of experience professionals under the direction of a Studio Director who is responsible for client satisfaction.
DBA has a staff dedicated to providing oversight and monitoring services during the construction period. Our trained professionals review material and system submittals for compliance with the contract documents, spend time on site to monitor construction activities, resolve issues to help maintain schedules and review and approve contractor's request for payment.
