Very positive end to end experience! Mika offered a video estimate/contract which was very innovative. The team of 5 headed by Jose arrived on time, reviewed the project scope, and set to work. Amazing work in the trees, nerves of steel. They were very tidy and cleanup was 100%. Trees look great and our wind concerns now history! Thank you Agri-Con team!!

I needed some tall old bushes removed along the back fence, so a new fence could be built, and I also wanted the roots ground so the bushes would not return. I spoke to Walter who did come out the same day I called Agri-Con, showed him the bushes and also requested some pruning of 5 trees in the front yard. Walter recorded the work detail and estimates on his cell phone and the videos to my cell phone. I never received anything in writing. On the first day the workers were to come out Walter did call me and said they would not be able to make it, because the job they were on was taking longer

I called for a quote on Saturday June 9th. Walter quickly responed on Sunday and came over to give us that quote on the same day. Walter was very professional and kind. He gave us the quote and the time frame. Just as he stated the crew came over two weeks later and took down a dead Italian cypress, two other 35ft to 40ft Italian cypress, two dead cherry trees, a suffering apricot tree, and a tree of heaven. The crew worked quickly, and efficiently. We were amazed how well they all worked together and how fast they took down the trees. I would totally recommend Agri-Con. Thank you so much Walter

This is the second job that they have done for me over the past 6 years. I'm always amazed by their professionalism and expertise! After they trim the trees, they look so natural and beautiful. They clean up so when they leave you can't even tell that they were there -- except your trees look great!

Once again a very positive experience. A very polite and thorough crew and superb job from start to finish, even going above and beyond the initial plan by cutting some weeds and helping me move an outdoor table. I am sure I will be calling them again in another four years or so when we need another trim.

We used Walter and Agri-Con to trim the trees in our HOA. Walter came out and reviewed each tree with our HOA board. He identified the ones needing immediate attention and helped us prioritize. He gave us a very reasonable estimate and scheduled his crew around times convenient to our neighbors. They crew were amazing and very conscientious. It was fun watching them climb the various trees and hang while they began the process of careful selective trimming. When they were done, fabulous look. They took away all the debris and when done you couldn't tell they had been on the property

This was the second time I worked directly with the owner of Agri-Con, Walter. The first experience, when Agri-Con trimmed a large Monterey Pine in my backyard, was very positive. This time I asked Walter to have his crew remove the tree.
When I first called Walter for a quote, he was close by and was there within a half hour. He gave me a written quote on the spot. Two other companies quoted the job, one higher and one lower, but the difference wasn't enough for me to hire anyone else after my first experience with Agri-Con. In short, the quote was competitive.

The job was to trim (for safety concerns) a large grove of eucalyptus trees (some as tall as 90') located around two houses. Walter returned my call the same day and scheduled an appointment for an estimate for 2 days later. He gave me advice on what needed to be done as a minimum for the safety of the buildings. He worked with me to establish priorities and was very clear about what they would do for the price. The Price was very reasonable. Especially when compared to what we had paid other companies for this type of work in the past.

I found Agri-Con on Home Advisors and I would never hire them again. I posted this same review there but if you wish to contract their services based on other reviews; I'll offer some suggestions for you to keep in mind so you can learn from my mistakes. 1) Get a written estimate not only for monetary purposes but to have a written record detailing the work to be performed. 2) Be sure to understand who will be the point of contact on the day of the job to ensure that the work performed is clear to all parties. Especially if the person who provided the quote/ estimate is not onsite at the property

We have a large tree in the backyard that for the last 8 months had leaves falling. Our gardener told us that the tree is not in good health and will need to be checked. I called up Agri-Con to get some help. I talked to Walter and he asked me to send some pictures of the tree. I sent some and within 10 minutes Walter called back. He gave very helpful tips over the phone on how we can save the tree from dying. I found him to be very knowledgeable and with great expertise in his area. Although we didn't use his company for tree cutting but I was very pleased and happy with his way of helping

Agri-con Restored and repaired my beautiful trees. Walter listened to my concerns and made recommendations about my very beautiful and important trees on my property. I have an Australian Eucalyptus, Japanese Maple and Chinese pistache that had been pruned incorrectly many times over the years by gardeners and people that were not tree experts. My favorite is the Australian Eucalyptus and it needed very meticulous care in removing the dead branches carefully. This was a very tedious job because it required tender loving care and time to carefully repair and restore the tree.

Tree removal & trimming/thinning of 3 trees= good. Customer service - lousy. We used this co. in the past - liked & trusted Walter & work was fine. Therefore, we didn't call anyone else for the needed work this time. Walter responded quickly and the job was done within a few days of his estimate, which was not in writing. He said he would "throw in" topping of shrubs that grew above our fence. Then it went downhill.....

Cut back some overgrown tree limbs threatening power lines, cleaned up palms, trimmed back fruit trees, hauled away and mulched a large pile of organic debris which PG&E left behind.

Surgically removed 5 large damaged pine trees around the house, trimmed out 10 redwoods in our fairy ring and trimmed and tidied a few large oaks. Polite team, very tidy, did everything in time and no damage to the garden. My wife's comment 'they really worked their arses off' so highly recommended !

I contacted Agri-Con to remove an almost 3-story dead tree which had stood on one of our properties for quite a bit of time, as well as to trim branches which had been shedding onto our gutter. Given the recent storms and heavy-winds which had rolled through the Bay Area, the idea of that dead tree remaining was a source of worry.
I had heard of Agri-Con before through friends, and decided to go with them for this project. I was put in touch with Walter, and he met me for an initial inspection of the tree in question. Agri-Con had done this work for years I had read, and it showed in my impression

This would have been a 1 Star Review, but my review comes with a caveat. In the end, the work done was efficient and satisfactory.
HOWEVER, the experience we had dealing with Walter, the owner, was infuriating and very unpleasant. Unpleasant enough for me to consider joining Angie's List just so I could get the word out.
We were in the process of getting our house ready to put up on the market and Walter came highly recommended by our realtor. He came to do an estimate. He sounded knowledgeable but spoke with a very confident, arrogant, and condescending tone. When we asked him for references
