GRC's philosophy of its Principal Architects practicing architecture keeps the principals personally working on every project. The principals are enthusiastic about being active on every project without the burden of the tiered hierarchy of larger firms with the protracted appointment of 'project managers', 'spec writers' and other specialized roles.

GRC's Principal-in-charge is the project manager, from start to finish, on the boards designing the details, in every meeting, and in the field during construction. This is a strategic advantage over many firms and one which our clients have come to appreciate. Since the principals have intimate involvement in all aspects of a project, potential problems are avoided or dealt with early.

GRC utilizes the Building Information Modeling Process (BIM) to provide clients a better understanding of the complexities of architecture and design.

Located in the historic William Johnston Building, the Suwannee Room has long been a favorite dining spot on FSU's main campus. Over the course of its history a number of improvements have been made to keep the facility up-to-date and up-to-speed in serving the needs of the campus. This particular project, completed in 2018, is the second of two major renovations of the building for which GRC was the architect.
McCollum Hall is a high-rise resident hall consisting of one- and two-person apartments. The existing facility, built in 1971, had become outdated having no community spaces for study and gathering. FSU requested our help resolving this problem. The initial solution of a 4,900 SF, two-story addition consisting of study, lounge, and meeting space was stopped due to insufficient funds after completion of the construction documents.
The original Black Student Union (BSU) building was over 50 years old, and as an old retrofitted wooden house, was well past the point of repair. FSU had no funds to construct a new facility. As minor services architect, GRC was contacted. It was decided a Marketing Package should be developed to raise funds for a badly needed new facility.
GRC loves to breathe new life into an old building. For the historical Lucy Moten building on FAMU's main campus, we had the opportunity to do just that. The result: a modern and open work environment for the Office of Sustainability. The Office of Sustainability was slated to move into a abandoned, partially demolished, damp and decrepit basement space located in the Lucy Moten building.
At GRC, we pursue sustainable design for the built environment through architecture, interior design, and planning to create places that enrich lives and endure for decades. We learn from the past, help shape the present and future, and create a built environment that is respectful of resources and beautiful in every way.
