If I could leave zero stars, I would. The level of unprofessionalism exhibited by this company is unspeakable.
I placed an order for a couch and was guaranteed delivery within 6 weeks. I was in a very specific situation and needed it within that timeframe. I explained that if there was anyway at all it could be delayed, I couldn’t order it. I was assured by the sales associate that it would be delivered within the time frame given.
I proceeded with the order. After 6 weeks, I still had no couch. I called to see what was happening. The couch was delayed by production and oversold by 47 couches

Only went once. The sales staff are nice and friendly; helpful when you need them but don’t push you. They’ve got some really nice furniture. I like that they advertise the solid wood and American made. I saw quite a few pieces I would love to get, but their prices are unbelievably high. Some of the price tags on dining room chairs were $600-800 PER chair. Unfortunately, I can’t afford that and probably never will. Great place if you have the money.

The people and furniture are great but DO NOT BUY A MATTRESS! Absolutely horrible! I thought the first one I got was made incorrectly because it sagged in the middle so they sent me a new one in the first few weeks. The replacement was marginally better and you can visibly see and feel that it sages to the middle! After less than 6 months! Do yourself a favor and get your mattress somewhere else!

I looked all around at the run of mill large box store furniture stores for a new bedroom set. All I found was heavy manufactured woods with shallow drawers all lined with a faux black almost sprayed on faux velvet cheap lining. Figuring it would wear well and would rub off and stain my clothes I said no way. I headed to Wayside and was so so happy I did. I was assisted by a wonderful salesman who worked with my budget and style preferences. I bought a high chest of drawers and a large dresser made by Yutzy. These pieces are real wood, made crafted by Amish craftsman. The drawers are all dovetailed

Huge inventory of classic and modern furniture for every room in the house! You are sure to get inspired meandering through this huge furniture showroom as the various rooms are tastefully appointed. From benches to shelving to ottomans and lamps, there are tons of accent pieces to suit your specific style. You probably won't find trendier pieces here; the furniture they sell is made to stand the test of time and perhaps even become heirlooms one day!
I loved the loft bunk bed set with the desk and bookshelves underneath and would have loved that set for my son when he was younger!

Fine furniture is a gross overstatement. I purchased (paid over $600) a living room chair from VA Wayside Furniture. Since it is just the two of us retired senior citizens, the chair was certainly not misused, however, the arms of the chair started showing wear much too soon compared to pieces that I have used for 20 years! When I brought this to the company's attention, I was simply blown off. I will not shop at this establishment again!

If you enjoy a saleswoman looking down at you for wanting to buy expensive fine furniture, but not the most expensive, this is the place to go. I thought maybe I was on a reality show; no one could be this snobbish to a customer!
There are other fine furniture stores in Richmond/Henrico that are amazing to work with and treat you like a valuable customer. You can have a pleasant experience AND buy high quality furniture - but not at Virginia Wayside Furniture.

I couldn't get out of there fast enough. I was interested in a $2,000 couch, the saleswoman commented that it was essentially cheap. OK, sure some people are willing to pay more for a couch, but not me. As a matter of fact, most people would spend much less. I can AFFORD to, but choose not to. The woman was such a complete snob! I went to another local store and bought a better couch and better service. RUN - don't go there unless it's for a brand they are exclusive for. Even then, travel to any other city.

We have purchased several pieces of furniture from Virginia Wayside. They have great quality, value and customer service. We even had a sofa delivered and decided it wasn't right for us. They worked hard to help us find the right sofa and delivered it right away, picking up the first one. Well-made furniture isn't inexpensive, but the Stickley sales prices are great! I recommend them without reservation!

This furniture store is a RIchmond institution and has been around for close to 50 years. They carry a lot of different furniture lines, like Drexel Heritage, but I go to look at the Stickley.
I love the mission period and happen to have a couple of vintage family pieces, although, alas, they're not actual Stickley. In Florida, I owned an arts and crafts bungalow and Stickley is perfectly proportioned for those small houses, being from the same period.
They also have a nice selection of area rugs here.
