Castillo Builders did a great job with our new roof installation! John explained what needed to be done and answered all of our questions. He was both very professional and knowledgeable.
The roof was completed ( including some decking repairs) in an efficient and timely manner. Upon completion, the work area was cleaned to the point where I would have never known that a roof was just replaced.
Their knowledge, professionalism, honesty, and workmanship exceeded all of my expectations. I would definitely recommend them for any of your construction needs!

Castillo Builders did a wonderful job on our roof and they were very reasonable. We worked with John Canamar who was extremely professional and personable. The team of roofers were quick and efficient. And after finishing the job they left it spotless. Also, our AC unit which is on the roof needed a new stand. There was some difficulty finding a new one and because of this John took it upon himself to make one for us and it came out amazing. We really appreciated him doing that. We will definitely recommend Castillo Builders to anyone and will be using Castillo Builders for our future projects

We had a great experience all the way around with Castillo Builders and we cannot wait to have them do more work for us. I called to request an appointment and was contacted the next day. When John came to our home, he explained to us everything we needed to accomplish in order to get to the building phase for our exterior garage that was ruined during Zeta last year. He let us know that he could get started on our roof first and he was with us every step of the way to ensure the job was done to our satisfaction. I hired them to put new roof on my rental property in uptown New Orleans and needed it completed within one month (by the end of July 2021). I was concerned it might not get done in time due to the non-relenting daily rainstorms, but we eventually caught a break from the rain and Wade got the job done in two day and came in on time and on budget. The roof looks great and the workmen did a very good job of cleaning up afterwards. I have also looked into having them replace all the old wiring in this old apartment duplex and the person they sent over to give me a quote seemed very knowledgeable on

Castillo was the most affordable roofing quote I received out of the 4. Within two weeks I had my roof replaced and the leak in my porch was fixed. Two weeks later I noticed a leak further down on the porch (likely due to poor design / shallow pitch), their office was very responsive and sent someone out that week to take a look at it and this problem was resolved within days. I would highly recommend Castillo Builders, quality work and very responsive throughout the process

This spring we hired Castillo Builders to add additional windows to our house. They installed 6 new windows, and we are very pleased with the work. The windows look lovely, adding much needed light. Before hiring them, we got 3 bids, and they came with the most detailed bid and the lowest price, but did the job in a truly professional way. There were some stops and starts because of weather and building supply shortages, but they kept us regularly updated. And when they finished, they took away every spot of debris and even power-washed the porch. We highly recommend Castillo Builders.

Never received estimate after site visit and multiple follow up calls. Had a handful of small projects that needed to be done, so scheduled these guys to come out take a look. Took time off of work so I could meet them at the house and go over everything. The guy called me a few days later with a couple questions then never heard from him again.

Castillo Builders are professional and especially good with communication. They do great work for a reasonable price and are very honest about the job. Wade breaks down all the different steps/ equipment expenses in his quote so you can see everything they will do and what it will individually cost. They have done a few projects around my house. I will definitely use Castillo again in the future!

Great company to hire on and do our roofing. We had issues with our solar panel company not giving us accurate timeframes, and Wade/Castillo Builders were able to work around the short notice we were given. Pricing was fair and the roof looks fantastic. Honest, straightforward and no false-upselling of useless services or materials. I did lots of research on roof repair companies prior to calling Castillo Builders and I'm very pleased with my whole experience! I spoke with Alfonso (The owner of the company) from day 1. He was quick to respond and followed up after. If I noticed something was wrong, he was quick to send someone out to take care of it. Gabriel (Repair work) was great and worked fast. I hired Castillo Builders for several projects at my home and Alfonso and his crew did a great job at a very reasonable price. I first had Castillo level my home in the Lakeview area of New Orleans and Alfonso had his crew out to the site the day I signed the contract. The job was performed professionally with very little wall cracking (cracking is unavoidable in older homes but leveling with care can reduce the amount of cracking).

I highly recommend Castillo Builders. I got several quotes for the renovation of my small home in the Garden District. Wade got back to me the fastest and with the most comprehensive quote of them all. The prices were fair and the written estimates included everything that we would encounter in the renovation. The communication was great and if something on the quote changed it was all done in writing, so there was no mistakes. These guys did a great job in a fairly short amount of time for a large job they undertook for me. I had to have the sub floors and upper floors completely redone in my house with multiple joists that needed to be replaced in a short amount of time. They were informative and straightforward with any delays or areas of concern that needed to be felt with, and stayed within my budget. Being able to stay in constant contact with them helped take away a lot of worry, especially if I had a question or concern that needed answered.

Beware of Castillo Construction now known as Castillo Builders. We terminated our contract with Alfonso 3 years ago for faulty work and delayed timelines. He went through multiple subcontractors for nonpayment to them. We brought a case against him which was eventually settled with a payment plan over 1 year. During this time he was usually late paying and stopped paying as of the second to last installment. We were told by our lawyer that his legal representation withdrew due to non-payment. In the midst of this he created a new LLC, presumably to avoid incurring any liens by us because Castillo

I started my search on Yelp looking for a contractor to do some repair work and entryway door replacement at my mother in-laws home. Out of three companies that came for quotes Castillo was the only company that returned with a quote...and a very reasonable quote.
Part of the work was to repair a rotted section of siding. Castillo was honest and straightforward about making us aware that until they pulled all the boards back and started the repair that they couldn't confirm the amount of rot and damage, so the quote could change.

My husband and I hired Castillo construction to raise our house. Alfonso, the owner, came to our house and gave us a detailed and reasonable estimate. We had heard so many horror stories about contractors, so we did our homework on him and yes, his references were excellent and everything checked out. He is licensed and insured. He explained to us what the job was going to entailed. He was very flexible and understanding. Their work was performed in a timely manner. His workers were so polite and helpful. I hired Castillo Construction for renovations on my house due to a very large water oak tree falling on my house. This was actually the second time the tree had fallen (I know...how can a tree fall twice?!). A year prior a large branch had fallen and done considerable damage. I wish I had hired Castillo the first time!! The contractor I hired the first round wasn't even finished with the repairs when the rest of the tree fell a year later.

I've used these guys twice to do some renovation work on a rental property I own. They came highly recommended and I can say that I do too. First job was leveling the house, which went well enough for me to go ahead and hire them to do all the renovating on the house. They stay in touch with you throughout the whole project, their bids were very reasonable for me compared to a few others I had gotten and they turned out to be good all around guys to work with. Reliable contractors are so hard to find but they are just that.
