Services
Master carpenter, Hank Kappert, started building docks in 1984, filling a need for a higher level of craftsmanship in the dock industry of South Puget Sound. The distinctive, attractive look of a Kapperts Dock can be seen in countless lakes in Thurston, Mason and Pierce counties and beyond, covering most of Washington State.
In the interest of protecting our beautiful coastlines and rich marine environment and ecosystems, a myriad of government agencies have created a procedural labyrinth through which one needs to pass in order to legally build on the waterfront. Moderately difficult, but not impossible, this is a process with which we can offer experience and expertise.
We offer floating docks, fixed piers, and combination fixed pier, ramp and float, with options that will produce the perfect dock for your needs. Our designs are driven by structural integrity, durability, utilization, appearance, and cost effectiveness. The structural framing of our lake docks is pressure-treated wood, either ACQ or ACZQ, or Port Orford Cedar.
Puget Sound has over 2,300 miles of coastline, with a seemingly endless array of spectacular beauty, but with a varied array of obstacles preventing people from enjoying the splendor of the bounteous beaches. With bluffs that sometimes tower over the water hundreds of feet, heavy vegetation and unstable soil conditions, access to the beach can often be quite problematic.
From lake to lake, and around Puget Sound, conditions very considerably, and subsequently, the criteria affecting the choice of piling. Water depth, and fluctuation, soil conditions, boat size, wind, waves, currents, esthetics, longevity, codes, and cost are all considerations in selecting the right piling for your project.

Applied to a job position. Have relevant construction experience.. was verbally judged by my voice(never shared a conversation prior to incident) and got hung up on before I could respond to accusations of not being enthusiastic about the position. I wouldn't apply if I didn't want the position to begin with.
This showed me, they are the ones to work for or with!!
