This company was actually recommended by someone I knew...Unfortunately things must have changed...Let me start by saying I have moved 8 times over the past 14 years and have never been treated so poorly. We sold our home to move closer to my husbands work. That home we purchased all new furniture and it had never been moved. A custom made liquor cabinet was ruined by the way the moved it, the cabinet is split on the leg and at the door. Our bed has gouges out of the wood. They completely ruined my daughters desk and and another storage cabinet. They took over 11 hours, which is the longest I have

I do not recommend this company at all. They packed things I asked them not to pack. Even food that was going to be thrown out from the refrigerator and food that I was going to take on my trip got packed, as well as all the CDs and books on tape that I was going to listen to on my trip. They packed things I was going to take to charities. No common sense whatsoever. They paid no attention to what I said to them. They didn't label boxes so I had no idea what was inside. It took over twice as long to pack my house than what was originally talked to #MIN. And they left some things behind that

The worst move I have ever had. Only 1 professional mover, the rest were minimum wage workers. When I opened boxes items were just thrown in some upside down and leaking. Baking soda was wrapped like gold and a piece of Waterford crystal was just sitting on top of the box without any paper or plastic.Two pieces of my office furniture are. Broken and I am not sure they can be repaired. DON'T USE THEM

We contracted Prestige Movers to pack up the house and then load our Pods. The packing was inconsistent…some boxes were done well, others looked like a 4 year old packed it. We had three packers, obviously one was either new or not trained. When loading, the crew took forever and our bill skyrocketed. Also, they used no straps at key midpoints, so our stuff shifted in transit and we had an avalanche situation when unloading. Professionals would have strapped off the load at least twice per Pod. Lastly, we were overcharged and had to spend the next two weeks wrangling to get charges reversed and

We moved locally from Vista to Oceanside and Rob and Chuck were awesome! Rob even came back after our conversation with him to drop something off for our baby that had helped his daughter. Very thoughtful and respectful crew! When we encountered an issue with the third mover, Roger, the owner, personally showed up and helped get the job done. He was more than accommodating and professional, and he took time to listen and rectify the situation. What could have been a 1 star situation instantly became 5 stars because of the way it was handled. Roger is a stand up guy, and this is a great family business

The movers came at two as requested. However, it took much longer than expected. At midnight, I was exhausted, I left and did not return for five days. I was shocked when I saw how they had left things. I had antique furniture that I wanted well taken care of. Instead it was just thrown in a room. I had to pay two guys three days later to take everything out of the room and rearrange it. Plus they moved my freezer filled with fish we caught in Alaska. Although there was a plug, they did not plug it in. All the fish had to be thrown away. I would not recommend these movers.

***the owner called me after this review was posted. He wanted me to acknowledge that they did come to fix the lamp and the broken wheel on the grill. This is true. He denies that his employees damaged and tried to repair the foot of the dresser without me knowing.

If you want to support a small local business, this is the one. Prestige Movers are a very professional service. I appreciate the delicate care they used handling my grandmothers antique furniture. Some items were very heavy and had to be maneuvered from the second floor which made me a little nervous. But these guys were obviously experienced because they had no problems. You can't just hire anyone to move an antique piano. That's why I called the professionals at prestige movers! They came highly recommended from a friend and delivered as promised. The moving crew took great care in protecting the Baby grand piano prior to loading. They got it loaded from La Jolla and shipped to La Mesa and set up within one hour! Roger Blunt was very knowledgeable about proper piano shipping techniques. Thanks guys! Awesome job!

The Prestige Movers team was punctual, hard working, extremely accurate with their quotes, and got the job done right. They were also super friendly and courteous and easy to work with. When we started I thought for sure we wouldn’t have enough time to finish because of a mistake I made in scheduling, so the boss Roger showed up and got everyone focused and did the work flawlessly. Roger and his crew are amazing! They take care of your possessions as if they were their own. I was in an absolute tizzy on the day of my move; I still had things that I had planned to pack, etc. They jumped in and made me feel so comfortable - really calmed the nerves.
I had things to go into storage and things to bring to the new house. No problem! We stopped at storage; they moved stuff into the unit...then we were on our way to my (now) very full garage.
Less than a week

I called this company in the end of June 2019, plenty of time to be ready for my move which was August 31, 2019. Moving from the city to a rural environment requires preparation. That was not a concern of the owner Roger nor was he the least bit concerned about the responsibility his workers would have to endure!

Roger, today is 02Nov2019 and we have not received an insurance claim as of yet; in fact, we have not received any confirmation that this claim has been filed. You responded to my son stating that a claim has been filed 01Nov2019, when we still have no proof of this.

Roger is great and all the guys that work for him are very professional and awesome! They are all hard workers and really polite and courteous.
