Founded in 1979, Robert Biery & Son is a design-oriented firm with a broad practice spanning residential, hospitality, commercial, and institutional work. The firm avoids specialization to allow a fresh view of each project, resulting in a unique and elegant design. Their capability and experience embraces many facets of design - Architecture, Interior, Landscape, and Cabinetry design.
Over the years, the firm has developed a comprehensive expertise in the complicated area of historic renovation, garnering numerous honors, including the prestigious annual award from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Our goal in these projects is to repair and stabilize the existing building, while modernizing the structure with respect and subtlety so the antique qualities are preserved.
To date, we have renovated 43 multi-story, commercial masonry buildings and 51 wood-framed houses. In new construction, we strive to produce designs that combine modern building systems with classic organizational methods.
