Services
With over three acres of trees, shrubs, perennials and garden products, our nursery has something for everyone. Flowering and fruiting fruit trees, conifers, rhododendrons, azaleas, and hydrangeas in all colors and sizes. Our selection of perennial flowers, ornamental grasses, and temperate palms is the largest on the Oregon Coast.
Laurel Bay Gardens is located at 88493 Highway 101 in Florence, Oregon; just two minutes north of Fred Meyer. Our phone number is 541-997-5973. We are a licensed, bonded, and insured company operated under the licensure of the State of Oregon Landscape Contractor's Board. Our license information can be found here.
Fargesia rufa, also called the panda bamboo, is a species from China. As with all of the fargesias, this bamboo is a clumping bamboo, meaning that it does not spread rapidly with runners. Phyllostachys praecox is a running timber bamboo that originated from the Zhejiang Province of China. This bamboo can reach over feet in height, although in our coastal area, it will probably reach only 15 to 20 feet high and 1 to 2 inches in diameter.
Laurel Bay Gardens provides residential and commercial design services, from site consultations to partial and full landscape designs. Landscape design, in its true form, is a melding of many things. What separates everyday landscape design from great landscape design is a knowledge of what plants grow well on that site.
Through careful planning and site evaluation, we work with our clients to select the best plants to create a quality landscape. From large trees to hedges, to perennial flower or herb gardens, we use our expertise in soils, plant needs, and local climate and weather trends to create quality and durable landscape plantings for gardens.

I love this place. If I am bored I will just go wander the gardens because it's such a huge place, there's always new plants to see and some unusual ones I've never seen before! Staff is great and very knowledgeable, I always bring visiting family members here too!

This is my new, favorite garden store! (Even though I live nearly 80 miles away!) On a whim, I stopped there while visiting the Oregon coast. I had been looking for a specific plant inland, but hadn’t been able to find it either in Eugene or in outlying areas. They had several healthy specimens of the plant I wanted, at a competitive price. The employees went out of their way to help me pick a plant, get info about it, provided materials to protect my car and the plant for transport. They also helped me load it. They were cheerful, encouraging & friendly. I can’t wait to go back for my next

I really wanted to write a positive review, but given multiple reasons not to. The customer service is terrible, from the minute you walk through the door not a welcome or hello, walking throughout the nursery not one employee asked if I needed assistance even if you could find one. When paying for my merchandise, I overheard one employee telling a customer incorrect information about a plant. I could not let the customer who was told incorrect information about the plant she was purchasing to leave the store without giving correct care instructions to her, she was very appreciative and also said

Descent offerings. Pricey. Long wait at check out. Helpful advise from gardeners. Pretty grounds. Nice to have a nursery option. Be nice if they'd ramp up their customer service.

Joe was very helpful and shared a lot of his knowledge with me. He even gave me a few laughs for free! He took his time to show me around and explain what plants would do well inside and what ones wouldn’t. His customer service was superior and I will be back just because of him. The layout and the variety offered here is also great. I highly recommend this place.
