This company has been hounding me for review since they finished and once we paid they did not even come back to make sure we were satisfied so Let me start by saying that the construction went well but we did not get what we originally were contracted for they put the bathroom in different place than we originally contracted for they probably saved $15,000 in plumbing and when we asked to have our stairs redone they came back and wanted to charge us 2000 extra dollars and the stairs are not up to code very very disappointing

I Had Lux Renovations come out and do a quote on my basement. The company and salesman were responsive, but their tactics are sketchy at best. My project was a 700sqft open floor plan idea to a new build basement. They quoted me $72,000 without a bathroom and told me the $14,000 additional if we wanted to add one. Anyone with half a brain could determine this quote was wildly inflated. They then offer bogus coupons to slightly deflate the unreasonably inflated price. Huge scam and waste of time! I am upset that they even try this game with people and it looks like some customers go for it. Buyer

I was thoroughly impressed with Lux and with the Owens Corning system from day one through to final completion. Peter in sales was very knowledgeable and helpful, and the construction team including Pete and Greg was top-notch. You pay for what you get and this product is well worth the investment. My basement has added so much to my condo! The project was completed in a timely manner and Greg even came back after he was already on another project to finish one small thing with my staircase. Excellent experience from beginning to end!

I am glad I didn't go with this company after reading reviews. The sales lady was friendly and knowledgeable up until she realized I really wasn't going to sign the dotted that day, then her whole demeanor changed. She sat at my dining room table and told me "I wanted my cake and eat it too" because I wasn't ready to go ahead with the project that day. I had made it clear to her when she got there, as well as the woman I talked to on the phone beforehand, that our budget may not be in line with what their pricing was, but they insisted on going ahead with the 2 hour

Rep came out to check out my basement space that I needed finishing, and after I told him what our needs were he truly tried to talk me out of doing this. Instead of guidance and agreement, he questioned all my decisions and reasoning for wanting more space in the house.
Eventually he did agree to give me a quote on the work reluctantly, so I provided him with some space to work. 30 minutes later he said he was ready to show me a proposal and some design

Five stars because Hector and Luis, the two contractors who performed the work itself (aside from the electric and flooring), were absolutely fantastic.
Lux came out quickly with an estimate, drew up a plan, and scheduled the project. We experienced none of the issues other reviewers seem to have had with this company. Our Project Manager was less sympathetic than we'd of liked after the furnace required work immediately after the electricians left, but Hector and Luis were incredibly transparent and helpful.

I can't say enough good things about Lux. They did a beautiful job renovating our basement and finished ahead of time. All the workers were very professional. Our new basement is so transformed with the Owens Corning System that it is unrecognizable. I would highly recommend them, you won't be disappointed!

I actually wouldn't give even a 1 star. I need to learn to read all the reviews before I sign a contract. we had a horrible experience. no management during the project a few basic things like the shower door were not included. very expensive and now our furniture have mold and the basement is humid all the time even with humidifier. very disappointing

We had our basement renovated by Lux last year. It was a horrible experience and they used the cheapest materials and their electrical contractor did a lousy job,constant issues with electrical. Now a pump that is just one year old needs to be replaced.
Our project manager was always adding on cost the jerky sales guy never responded to us! We could not wait to be done with them!

Good final product, but the process, customer service and project managers were not good. Did not take 2 weeks as promised, project manager was nowhere to be found, crew working on the basement did not have and did not understand the plans we created. The experience overall was infuriating. They also did not seem to have an understanding of basic basement knowledge; they ended up putting pink insulation directly against a foundation wall, when a crack developed, the water was pulled off the wall into my basement, and ended up costing us thousands of dollars to fix. I would not recommend them

Had an appointment set up a week in advance to review the work and told them the house is currently vacant so we would have to meet there.
They called a half hour before the appointment to cancel so I had already traveled to meet them. They couldn't call sooner to let me know they couldn't make it?
Totally unprofessional and shows me how they would handle the work.

We're very satisfied with our basement project by Owens Corning. We went with the paintable wall system plus sheetrock ceiling. We added a bedroom, full bath, and a couple storage closets. Carpet in the bedroom and luxury vinyl flooring in the bathroom and living area. The end product is great, and I was very impressed with how fast it was completed. Our entire project took 4 weeks. It was longer than their normally advertised 2 weeks because of the added bathroom. I'm confident that they could have finished in 2 weeks if we didn't do a bathroom. Our two man crew was extremely efficient

I found Lux Renovations through home advisors. We were looking to finish our basement, which has had issues with dampness and wanted to ensure we hired a company that specialized in basements and were willing to pay for a quality product from an expert in basement refinishing. Lux was very quick to return our call, schedule a salesperson to come out and give us a quote. The work was completed very smoothly from beginning to end. John went thru the process and explained everything. I especially appreciate James and his crew. They conducted very professionally and were very understanding to my requirements. Peter (project manager) scheduled everything perfectly and was always available for any questions.

My wife and I had Owens Corning/LUX Renovations, LLC finish our basement and the process was very challenging. John the Salesman is a great salesman, indeed quite smooth. He told us, "I am there day one then upon completion I come to check everything out." After we signed our papers and handed our deposit check, we didn't ever see him again. He was, however, helpful when we pointed out numerous issues with the quality of work, which he brought to the attention of the Project Manager.
