Gibson Furniture has been family owned and operated in the Gallatin, Hendersonville and Portland areas since 1972. This forty-seven-year history has special meaning for Eddie Gibson, the second-generation owner of this furniture store that places emphasis on quality furnishings at affordable prices and uncompromisable customer service.
Jim Gibson first opened the store in 1972, seeing a need for customers to buy locally without having to shop a large commercial franchise. As a young boy, Eddie would go to work with his dad on Saturdays. During high school and college, he worked at the store during summers.
Growing up in the business, Eddie saw firsthand that customers would return time and again when they were given quality customer service and had a selection of name-brand appliances and furniture from which to choose - all backed by a longer warranty.At the death of his father eight years ago, Eddie took over the business full time.

We came in to look at a mattress set, bed frame, and sectional. The salesman was nice, not pushy, and very helpful. We ended up leaving with everything purchased weve been looking for for over two months for around $3600! We bought the Ashley furniture sectional for $200+ less than the actual Ashley Home Furniture store AND Gibson's is delivering it for free. The staff is very knowledgeable. Refreshing experience.

We LOVE Gibson’s Furniture——their awesome showroom displays, their product quality, their fair pricing and most importantly their amazing staff!!! We made several trips into the store to purchase items for our new condo, and at the end of it all, we really did feel like we belonged to the Gibson family! We’ve never laughed so hard or shared so many non-furniture-buying stories with the staff of any other business!! We trust the employees at Gibson, totally and completely—-from the owners to the delivery guys!!! Thanks for making furniture buying a wonderful experience!!!

Incredibly friendly folks, great selection, sturdy, high quality furniture. We bought a king size bed with box spring and mattress set and we are in heaven. Delivery was free and they set it up for us quickly and with care. The delivery men were polite and got the job done fast. I will definitely be back!

Great family owed business in small town America. Gibson's has a real good selection of furniture. Most of it is not your upscale furniture that you find in the big city stores or chains-but it doesn't have the big city prices either. They have a excellent selection of patio and outdoor furniture. But what set's Gibson's apart is the customer service. We were there 90 minutes looking, asking questions and trying to make a decision. They never acted tired of us- they were eager to answer our last question, just as they did our first. Its an easy building to find on the square

We needed some furniture for my father in law to move into memory care. We needed to be very mindful of our budget. The service was prompt and friendly. Completely understood our price points and did not try to up-sell us. The free delivery was a nice bonus. The furniture they offer is nice quality and quick delivery. I really appreciated the large computerized catalog to look at products on a large screen. It was so easy to browse through the furniture by category. Wonderful store we will definitely be back!
