I built a home with them hoping to avoid inheriting existing home issues. Not only did I pay a premium price for a new home, I received more problems than a person should have to deal with. I will give them credit that they will fix the problems but it is like pulling teeth to get it done. I'm six months into ownership of the home and the problems just keep coming. I'm sure other builders are just like them so I couldn't give anyone advice on who to build with. They might build you a good home. I just didn't receive one.

Would I recommend? In a word, No.
I feel I would've had better experience buying a old house. My home is brand new and we've had almost every issue we can think of and the lack of urgency to come assist someone who just spent more than a 1/4 of a mill with you is just disheartening.
Electrical issues, plumbing, flickering lights, cracks in foundation, we had to have them come out 3times to rip up and finally fix THE ENTIRE SECOND FLOOR. Just so walking around wouldn't wake us up on the ground floor.
Leaking roofs, backing up sewer systems and electrical breakers tripping ever so often are common

I was told they were working on locking me in a rate, I was told that on April 30th and STILL have NOT received any info on it. I worked with Jamie Lancia so I figured everything would go smoothly and I would be helped in anyway, however, I was wrong. I would not recommend them, go with someone who has an urgency to not only sell you a home, but someone who does not try to take you for all your money and not have a care about actually treating you well.

Disappointed with how we were treated as first time homebuyers. The Lancia team jumped on the chance to request more money, and didn't see it necessary to assist us through the process and ensure that it ran smoothly. Do your research, there are other affordable builders in the area. If you do choose Lancia, I would suggest having a realtor represent you. You'll be working with a Lancia rep, otherwise.
Response to Lancia's Comment: Our lender was given 30 days to process, he took 31 days over a holiday weekend. It took 10 of those days for the Lancia team to get him our plans. Just sharing our

I would say that the overall house is fine but they have horrible CUSTOMER SERVICE and response times. Right now we have algae growing in our backyard which is swamp like. The back 5-10 feet of my property has been under water for months now. The rough grade settled and trying to communicate with this company is just ridiculous. They pass the ball and continue to do so. They send people out that can’t make decision. They want to say it’s because of the COVID situation that we are in right now. But I would have to disagree. Their contractors have been working non stop. We have seen contractors

Almost a year into living in our brand new home, the lack of communication and lack of responsibility held by Lancia is still ongoing. We were told during the build process that we had “personality” differences and misunderstandings with some of their staff. Looking back I’m baffled by that... Multiple neighbors we’ve met have had the same complaints about lack of communication and unfulfilled promises from Lancia. PAY ATTENTION to the reviews for this company and scope out your builder options before choosing them! Not enough people are speaking up about their experiences. We definitely

Lancia did a nice job getting our build done within our 6 month window. Mostly great quality craftsmanship on everything. However the drywalling work was very subpar. The painting also not the best. Everything was painted with flat paint including the bathrooms which I have never known to be ok. It could've been us not paying attention, but I don't recall ever being given the option for different paint finishes per bathrooms, etc. We would've been willing to pay the upcharge for the better paint. Just didn't ever recall being given the option. Overall everyone was nice to work with. Just a little

The construction team was nearly worthless. After losing our first project manager as "he left to pursue other ventures" the project immediately fell behind schedule. The VP of construction was assigned to the project, to say he seemed burdened to do his job and manage our project is about the nicest thing I can say about him. 75% of the work on the project was completed in the last 2.5 months of a nearly 7 month project. Only after the construction loan would have incurred penalties was work actually prioritized. The only saving grace is that the house is structurally sound and mostly what we
