Horrible movers. Called me with less than one hour notice to pick up stuff. Then showed me the "itinerary" they edited and refused to take certain items. They said it would cost some absurd amount, and after a "call with their manager," they agreed to take the items if I paid (bribed) them $200 cash. They also demanded I pay the entire sum up front to deliver on time, although the contract was for a split bill with the latter half after they deliver. Now, 8 days late, they still have not arrived and refuse to give any updates. Avoid these people at all cost.

We were doing a local move, I found the company and they were the quickest to call me back. Initially was quoted 4 hours of labor but it end up being 5 hours Tim told me that before so I am fine with that. I guess it makes sense since I added more stuff later. The guys were quick and professional packed everything and started loading the truck. There were no additional hidden charges so everything went smooth. Overall, good job. Because after seeing their reviews I was a little worried but they said they are under new management and look like they are doing a better job.

I paid these people $832 to move across town. we set a price at 600 which then turned into 832$. All i had was one bedroom worth of stuff. Then they left everything in my living room in a mess! stuff everywhere. Boxes damaged. i didn’t even unpack yet. i will be crossing my fingers. i would not recommend!

They showed up with a small truck for a 3 BR apartment, so I had to arrange for someone to be at my apartment a second time a month later for them to pick up the rest of my stuff. I was also charged additionally for this. Their idea of "packing" was to throw things into boxes, for the most part unwrapped, and using my own plastic storage bins when they ran out of cardboard boxes. Entire pieces of furniture were lost. I never write reviews, but I made a Yelp just to rate this company. Please never use this moving service. So unprofessional and they hold your furniture hostage unless you pay for more than what they asked for originally. This place is a SCAM I payed basically $400 to move my stuff 2 blocks and not even get my furniture reassembled. Kassie from customer service and the boss Vladimir are SO unreliable. Never work for this company or trust them with your money. They will be hearing from my lawyer and cops. SCAM.

Not sure how they got rated 3.6. They packed horribly and delivered unprofessionally. They taped the furniture directly instead of over the blanket, ruining a lot of our furniture. Broke our marble temple/altar that was expensive and even damaged our new home while moving furniture . They are supposed to be professionals and I was giving them ideas on how to hold the furniture such that they can bring it up without damage any walls. Just kept saying things wont go up the stairs! Obviously no responses once we have paid them! If you have pieces of furniture that is valuable (not just monetary) please

I moved from NYC to South Carolina and guys who came to pick our stuff did a great job packing and loading their truck. But once it got to their storage facility, I don’t know if it was there or when they were unloading the truck that they left my stuff out in the rain or there was a leaking in their storage because my furniture was wet and had some stains on it. Besides, there were a lot of items lost that we never got them back, also broken items and furniture. I have called them to reimburse the damages they did which was supposedly covered by the insurance but nothing, they never called me

The worse move I have ever experienced!!! Unprofessional! I had a recent move within the same state on 7-10-21. I packed most of my own items securely and labeled. The all furniture was suppose to be wrapped in free blankets by the movers. I was given a quote of $1300. and ended up paying $1600. They showed up late. My dinning room chairs were not wrapped. I gave a $150. tip on top of added fees of $250. the driver insisted I give more tip. I was offended and insulted that he was not satisfied with what I gave. I put down a deposit for a local move. I decided to move myself and canceled the reservation with True State. I was told I will receive a refund, I have called several times. I was told I received my refund, I how was it returned to me because I have received nothing. They told me I would receive an email with the breakdown and how it was returned, that never happened. I call asking to speak with someone who can assist me with how my refund was returned to me and no one is ever available. I have called several times and I get the same response. I have yet to receive my refund. I would be careful

The worst experience ever. It seemed like the underestimate the job so they can make you pay more because let's face it, who' going to only half move? DO NOT USE THEM!!!!

The moving part it self was decent, they did flip my furniture all around and jumble up everything that was in the dressers. Left a few minor scratches on a piece of furniture or 2. For the most part very careful.
Foreman's (Max) attitude was not very good, asked for a tip at the beginning and asked for more when I actually tipped him at the end! I already gave them $150...Who does that?
When I declined he was pretty much done with me and left my TV and mattresses still wrapped.
The other 2 guys with him (Nicholas and Andrew) were hard working and nice.
They didn't bring a big enough

This company didn't do their job at pick up. They entered my home not wearing masks. They up-charged me by over $300 without any reason to back up the 'charges required' and THEN completely left behind the most valuable item I had them move. It's not lost. They've confirmed they have it in their warehouse but are 'unable to deliver' my item. They instead told me I could pick it up from them in their warehouse (after MONTHS of my calling and emailing) which is ridiculous considering I hired them for an interstate move. The "Head" guy, Ray, told us it would be and extra $700 to wrap a china closet and 2 mirrors, but he would do it for $350 if we paid him cash..Ray did very little-took FOREVER to wrap furniture. Didn't keep pieces together; hardware and extra parts didn't even make it on the truck. Here's the thing: moving is expensive and it sucks. Enrique at True State made my move from DC to New York City as painless as he could.
There will be extra fees. You will have to pay in cash or money order. Moving is not easy, nor is it cheap. Do your research and ask questions and then it won't be much of a surprise. Enrique was super nice about everything, very thorough and thoughtful. I would call True State if I ever had to move again (but here's to hoping that's not for a while).

I was stupid and used this business as their interstate moving price was good and went against my gut feeling.
Their pick up and packing was great - on time - 5 people and that's all.
They didn't leave NYC for 10 days after the pickup.
Argued over delivery payment method.
They severely damaged property. No apology nor explanation.
They failed to box certain items resulting in the damage.
They didn't pack certain critical items, then lied saying they sent them straight away. I waited for over 2 months for the items to arrive, this is after daily calls asking
