Do not hire this company before reading the reviews. and if you do use them do not pay them one dime until the work is completed and to your satisfaction. the mistake i made was paying them all but 1000 dollars before the job was completely done. i contracted jersey tree care in aug of 2021 to remove an oak tree and its stump on the side of my home, cut a mulberry tree in the rear of my home down to a stump, remove branches from my neighbors tree growing over on my property and remove and grind shrubs and shrub stumps in my front yard. the owner kevin doyle and his crew arrived on sept 11th

John returned by call promptly and came to see the property the next day. I need stumps cutdown. Some one was out the next day, first thing in the morning. They keep you well informed, treat you like family. Being a woman on my own, I felt he really took care of me. I would not doubt use their service again. Highly recommend Jersey Tree Care!

Yesterday I called Kevin Doyle to get a quote on four trees I wanted removed. He came an hour later and gave me a fair price. The following day he removed all four trees. Every text he responds promptly and is also very personable. I highly recommend his tree service to anybody currently in the market for tree removal right now.

Trespassed and Destroyed Our Property While Cutting Neighbor's Trees
March 23:
While we were on vacation, Jersey Tree Care came to cut down our neighbor's trees.
They:
Entered our property without our permission.
Took down & broke our fence to bring heavy equipment into our yard.
Left tire tracks in our yard.
Ruined our lawn.
Ripped out my hydrangeas and left them on the ground.
Cut our completely alive cherry blossom tree in half to access the neighbor's trees.
Dented our shed.
Left the yard full of branches and sawdust.

Kevin is a super nice guy. I found him through Chip Drop, he dropped off 2/3 of a truck of chips for me exactly where I wanted it. He even called ahead of time, which he isn't required to do but shows that he's willing to go above and beyond for his customers. I would definitely call him next time I need tree services. Neglected the job after they dropped off the workers in the morning, workers failed to complete the most important part of the job, Owner promised (PROMISED/SWORE UP AND DOWN) multiple times he'd be there "the next morning first thing" to take care of it and Never. Ever. Came. Back.
Also, has anger issues- observed it with myself and when the sales guy came to give me an estimate- owner yelled at him on his cellphone 3 times during a 10 minute estimate. DO YOURSELF AND STAY AWAY- MANY BETTER CHOICES IN THE REGION

I had the same experience most everyone here who gave Jersey tree one star had. I only wish I read the reviews before I wasted a month waiting for a service that would never happen. John seems to be the problem here - I should've known when he was two hours late for the estimate appointment. But we went with this company because the price was right. Beware of low estimates that reel you in. We were told if we paid cash, we would get an earlier date. So we went with a cash payment. This all seems fishy in hindsight of course. The amount of times it was scheduled then changed then rescheduled

I was given an appointment for a Saturday, at noon, no one ever showed up or called me to reschedule. I kept calling the office with no answer. I called Jon the owner and he gave a quote over the phone and rescheduled for Monday. Monday came and went with no response until I contacted him at 330pm recieved a message stating "tonight is on time". That was in the middle of August, til this present time, no one ever showed and still have the same issue. If you want to waste your time call them.

Worst service I've ever experienced. The crew never showed up on the appointed date And no one called or texted. For some reason calls go to Birchwood Tree. They tell you they will get back to you but never do. I texted John, the original representative, daily. He kept responding they will be there tomorrow but no one ever came. What a complete waste of time! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!

A friend recommended Jersey Tree Care;someone came to do an estimate right away.However,he had some ill-advised pruning advice including pruning a town tree and removing a major limb on my dogwood.He promised they would do the work soon.As time passed,I called,and Mark Senatore came and said the guy taking the estimate was wrong.No town tree should be pruned(we knew that),and the dogwood shouldn't be cut. Service was done a few weeks later,and we paid the somewhat high bill of $1475.The work was not completed-a stump needed to be ground and not all pruning was complete.Mark returned for the check

This is the second time I called Kevin to help removing one tree and trim the other. First time was at my house, this time is the rental property. Kevin responded the call and went over the property with me quickly. He suggested not to remove the second tree that is still strong and keep the shade in the back yard to increase the property value. Which I agree and surprised he does not want my money :) They came as scheduled and took the whole day to remove one half dead tree and trim the second tree cleanly. No mess left behind, I know I made a right call again this time.

We talked to these guys at 5pm on a Tuesday and Kevin showed up 90 mins later to look at our job. He spent 15 minutes with us and gave us advice that did not ultimately result in a job for him, but it didn't matter, he stayed and answered all of our questions including some on a completely unrelated tree problem. Do you know any small business owners who show up in under 2 hours and give free advice despite no promise of a job? Awesome. We'll definitely be reaching back out next season when we need a pro.

If you want to get a good deal/price on getting trees cut down and chipped up, these folks are a good option. HOWEVER, the old adage rings true: you only get what you pay for. That is all you will get with this company. So it's easy to see why their prices are so competitive. They DO NOT finish their work and they justify it in their minds by saying that you got such a good price and some work was done.
