VanMatre Motor Company was incorporated in 1957 by Herbert VanMatre in St Louis, Missouri, with his son Lynn VanMatre. In 1980 Lynn VanMatre purchased the Buick franchise in CAPE GIRARDEAU. Soon after, Lynn's son, Mark VanMatre, joined the business. They operated the Buick dealership on the corner of Sprigg and Independence until 1989.

Have a 2021 GMC Sierra with the 3.0 diesel . Had a water in fuel light on and a ck engine light . Called service and they worked me right in . From the call to make a appointment to the picking up of my truck was well informed by friendly staff highly recommended. Wish they would of have trucks in stock when I purchased this one

My experience with Van Matre Buick was good with regards to the very nice people in the paint shop, but absolutely unacceptable with regards to management.
I'm pretty particular about my car and had chosen VMB to do some light bodywork and additional paintwork on the strength of their reputation. I was very clear upfront that I wanted the work to be as nice as possible, and that cost wasn't a concern. I also made sure up front that the shop was capable of baking the paint afterwards because I was going to get paint protection film applied. The guys in the shop were very nice, and assured me that

Our daughter is a student at SEMO and we are 4 hours away from her. When she called us that her Buick Enclave wouldn't start, I called your service department. My car battery completely died unexpectedly. I contacted my salesman, Tabb Garner, about the issue. He returned my call immediately and was able to get my car in for service that day. He watched for me to arrive and escorted me himself to the service department. The service department manager assisted me right away (even though her schedule was completely booked) and resolved the issue within a few hours. Very impressed with the service!
