Solid hardwood floors are among the easiest floors to keep clean. Keep in mind, the beauty of hardwood floors comes from it's uniqueness, not uniformity, so wear and tear often makes them more beautiful. Also, a good polyurethane finish is very durable and you can easily wipe up spills and messes. Dirt, grit and sand are your hardwood floor's worst enemies.
This flooring accounts for the majority of installations. Strips usually 2-1/4 inches wide, but also come in widths ranging from 1-1/2 inches to 3-1/4 inches. They are installed by nailing to the sub-floor. Specialty patterns may range up to 36 square units. Parquet often achieves dramatic geometric effects of special design patterns.

We can’t say enough good things about local owned The Other Guys Wood Floors Inc. They brought a capable and experienced crew who replaced two carpeted areas with 300 square feet wood plank laminate. Richard, one of the owners, was onsite the full duration of this ten hour job. Their dedication was greatly appreciated, as it limited the disruption to the core of our home to a single day. There was great attention to detail, since this job necessitated working on two different levels around a sunken living room, variously merging wood with a brick fireplace, tile, and carpeting.
