Pruning low hanging branches or limbs which pose a potential hazard and reduce sunlight to lawn creating soil erosion. The ideal time to assist your trees in their growth and development is when they are young. The goal is to develop a young tree with a strong single trunk with well-spaced, sturdy branches.
Cabling a tree involves the reinforcement of weak, cracked or broken trunk areas or important branches within a tree. We install galvanized steel cable(s) from one branch to another in the upper portion of the tree. This is accomplished by drilling a hole into each limb to be cabled, and then a steel hook is screwed into the hole.
Tree removal can be a hazardous task that requires experienced technicians and equipment. When a tree must be removed, Brooks & Barber Tree Management has the skill and knowledge to safely and efficiently remove any tree. Why does a tree have to be removed? Though our focus and priority is the care and maintenance of your trees, sometimes a tree has to be removed.
When a tree or shrub has been cut down to near-ground level, the stump remains in the ground. This may create a mowing hazard, or simply an unsightly spot in your lawn or garden bed. We use a stump grinder to grind out the stump and some of roots of the tree that have been removed. Stumps are ground down approximately 6-8 below ground level.
