Newtown Arbor Services is the ONLY tree company in the area to own and use our own crane. Having a crane enables us to tackle the most difficult tree removal obstacles and save our customers money. As a licensed arborist, licensed to spray for ticks or other tree destroying pests, we are involved in all aspects of tree care including property control and tree removal.
This invasive beetle is killing ash trees in southwestern Connecticut at an alarming, unprecedented rate. The Emerald Ash Borer is a highly destructive beetle. Spreading across the country since 2004, all ash trees are expected to become infested and die. The only chance of survival is early and repetitive treatment by an arborist.

Recent tree work performed by Al and his team included the removal of two100 ft tulip trees located within 30 ft of my house and an evergreen literally sandwiched between the incoming power and communication lines to my home. The work was performed quickly, efficiently and safely at a competitive price. This was accomplished as the result of; 1) Al’s innovative man hour saving use of his113 ft crane, 2) a full compliment of profession duty equipment capable of quickly processing very large/heavy work loads and 3) an experienced well coordinated crew with a strong work ethic. Al and his crew did a fantastic job. Professional group and competitively priced. Highly trained professionals that took down some massive trees for us very carefully. After a recent storm several trees needed care around our property. Some were ours others were town trees. I reached out to a friend for reference as well as contacted the town. This company was recommended by both. Wthe came today and tended to the town trees. Their clean, professional precision cutting skills were a pleasure to watch. The yard was left cleaned up with no debris or damage to the lawn from their equipment. I'm looking forward to them having time to come back and complete the other work. Bravo, too for cutting some custom stumps for my silversmithing.

Alan and his crew did a fantastic job clearing trees that had partially fallen from storm damage, and other work along our driveway. He came out quickly for an estimate, and did the work soon after. The price was extremely fair. His crew was friendly, worked quickly, and cleaned up to where you couldn’t tell they had been there. I would recommend Alan and Newtown Arbor Services to anyone, and we will definitely call on him again anytime we need tree work done!

Our experience with Al Potter and Newtown Arbor Services was stellar. My family's home in Hawleyville was nestled in among a grove of very old Maples, Ash, and Hickories. Most were diseased or rotted and in danger of falling on the wires and house itself during the storms lately. Al and Miles and Mouse and their crew came to the house and within about 18 hours, had the entire job completely done. The crew took care to not tear up the lawn with their trucks and cranes and falling trees, fixing any divots or tracks they made. Al is honest, trustworthy and genuinely has the best interest for his customers. We had three quotes done for the tree work at our home and ultimately went with Newtown Arbor Services because of the amazing customer service we got from Al. He quoted us thousands less then other companies, and didn't try to oversell us on what needed to be done to keep our home safe. The work was done neatly, safetly and efficiently. From start to finish Newtown Arbor Services has been amazing. Scheduling an estimate was super easy. Al, the owner himself, showed up on time and took time to look at the job, he didn't rush like some service providers do. He was honest and fair with his prices. On the day of the job Newtown Arbor Services showed up on time and did an amazing job! There was not so much as a divot in our lawn, truly a terrific performance. Alan Potter and his team did a phenomenal job cutting down a number of very large trees on my property and a number of smaller trees, along with pruning ornamentals. Most of the large trees were in tight spaces and hard to reach. He and his team accomplished an amazing amount of work not only because they work hard from start to finish but also because of Alan's expertise and use of a crane, which saved days.
