Quaker Construction Services had its origins in 1970. It was initially known as Quaker Siding Company. In 1978, we adopted the name Quaker Roofing Company, and then in 1987, we incorporated the two companies into one corporate identity. We recognized that people were becoming disillusioned with asphalt and fiberglass shingles in the late 70's and early 80's.
We hired a group of men who focused on specializing in metal roofing. Over the last 30 years, we roofed hundreds of homes, churches, agricultural and industrial buildings, and commercial buildings. They installed a new roof and redid our siding. The crew who did the roof did an excellent job. They finished the job in 2 days. It took the siding guys 2 weeks to complete the siding on 1 side of a ranch house. They spent most of their time sitting at our picnic table. There were roofing nails, small pieces of foam, metal trimmings, and siding pieces everywhere. I complained but they didn't care, so I picked it up myself.
