Attaching an outdoor structure to the house would have shaded the east-facing kitchen and family room too much. This detached structure leveled the sloping yard by raising the south end approximately 3 feet. Each of the 4 columns are buried in 4 feet of subterranean concrete footings. Converted bathroom in existing footprint, by improving storage, function and visual appeal.

To begin the process of formulating an idea, there must first be a need for change. The needs analysis generally occurs on location. The key to this meeting is to include all decision makers for an exchange of ideas which establishes the concept. Throughout the pre-production process, the original idea may improve, vary or even change completely.
The owner and staff are extraordinarily knowledgeable and thorough and easy to work with. From design to walk-through, both experiences were a pleasure. The key element for me however, was the communication emphasis employed by the entire staff. I was routinely kept abreast of the status of the job so I was never left wondering.
